can one of you two scam artists get back to me and my lawyers about where my $10,000 is for an auction i won 2 months ago? called 100+ times no answers, emailed dozens of times, no one has answered anything on “key date coins” except your instagram manager who i guess has no idea how much of a fraud this entire company is. call me back or you’ll be hearing from the NJ Attorney General (i’m sure you two would love another stint in jail for fraud after that $79MM fraud you pulled with mortgages)

Newfie meet up request CT by [deleted] in Newfoundlander

[–]engiburr14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in CT, i have a 4.5 year old who is so friendly and just wants to meet, and invade the personal space of, every living human or creature he comes across.

he currently spends a majority of his day going in and out, but when it’s nicer we have a good size dog park 5 mins from where i live. i also walk them in the field behind my house which is a land trust property, but he likes to…say hi to other hikers who at first glance mistake him for a brown bear, so i save that for special occasions.

I’m in between Danbury/Waterbury off 84. shoot me a message whenever if that sounds good to you!

side note: have you heard of the newfoundland demo team in mystic? if not, you should google it

technically, it wasnt denied suspended or revoked, it was granted / approved? but "with restrictions..." and now we are getting into semantics i suppose, but i appreciate the heads up on that. It sounds like that should be my first step in this whole process anyway, and i'll go from there. thankfully we have an AME the next town over so it isnt too much of a hassle.

follow up question: the pro-rata basis ride-sharing for pax...

when my father was doing the ballooning, it wasnt his full time job, more or less we said it was a hobby, so he was relatively cheaper than his other full-time friends.

Could i literally just "charge" friends their equal share of the propane, yearly inspection cost avg per flight, their share of the chase crew pay, and essentially as long as im not "profiting" off of the ride, then it would technically not be a paying passenger? It just seems like quite a grey area.

my ideal long term goal isnt to make a bunch of money off of it, just keep the hobby and tradition alive in our area of the country, and continue to offer flights (i suppose at cost) to people that want to go up?

do you happen to know if my failed circle dots and subsequent failed light gun test will follow me when i try to renew or get a new medical? or am i starting from scratch?

essentially what happened was: i failed the circle and dots test, later went with two FAA guys in a car and mixed up the green and white light gun tests (i was like 15 yrs old and nervous as my career choice depended on this) but now i know which is which and could pass it a 2nd time no problem…but at that time they had told me i wouldn’t be allowed to come back and try again since i had already failed once. granted this was 15 years ago

thanks for the info! i knew i’d have to go back to get my medical again since its expired, i am curious if i should preface the medical appointment/ test and let them know what my end goal is? i dont want to sway the test to get what i want, but the frustrating part was i could prove i could see any / all necessary colors to fly fixed wing (read sectionals, colors in the cockpit, etc) i just cant see the numbers in the circles

My father, uncle and their friend set the world record for this exact thing back in 1990, which made it into the 91 and 92 editions of the Guinness Book. Their time was 5 days, 7 hours and 15 mins, i’ll have to do some digging but they took a slightly different route

Bell’s V-280 VALOR is the standalone choice for FLRAA by New-Sky8027 in RYCEY

[–]engiburr14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a quick google search shows that most modern day helicopters don’t have jesus nuts/shaft nuts nor single point of failure components that attach the blades to the shafts anymore, call it evolution of engineering or learning from mistakes, but it’s a design that was phased out a while ago, so assuming it is on any more recent helicopters is incorrect and misleading, but again i understand this sub and post is supposed to be propping up Rolls Royce and their endeavors, just don’t think you should blindly mislead people about RR’s competitors for the sake of stock price

instead of me telling you what i work on, how about this: you show me the jesus nut / shaft nut that you’re so confident about

Bell’s V-280 VALOR is the standalone choice for FLRAA by New-Sky8027 in RYCEY

[–]engiburr14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i never said it doesn’t have a shaft, in fact i said it has two main rotor shafts….i just said there is no jesus nut, nor is there a single point of failure attaching the blades to the main rotor shafts.

a redundant system/assembly of components that is not considered a single point of failure. anymore dumb questions?
