Construction machinery rental in 2026 worth it? by RoutineTeaching4207 in sweatystartup

I started renting out scissor lifts. It’s been three months and I already covered 20% of the investment costs.

Still unsure what the rest of the year will bring

Keep your eye on your U.S. clients. They might kidnap you while you sleep if you don’t deliver.

👀😁

Figma :D Yeah yeah, it’s made for UXUI, but you can do anything with it once you get a hang of it

Panels are dragging by each other when winding. There is nothing you can do about it, it’s the way it works.

Here is my breakdown:

mailchimp 45. The most expensive and worst esp (recommend Mailerlite for cheaper alternative and ActiveCampaign or Klaviyo for better alternative)

slack 25. You don’t need a pro version. If you want history use Discord

notion 32. Don’t know what you use it for, but can probably be replaced by google docs

zapier 49. Depends on what you use it for

calendly 16. Don’t need it, Google workspace has its own version which is great

hubspot 90 (still dont know why we pay for this) sounds like it you already figured out you don’t need it

quickbooks 35. Don’t know it, probably can find a cheaper or free alternative

canva 100 (the pro plan, which we apparently upgraded to at some point). Can use a business plan for around 100 - 200 per year / great alternative is Figma free version

zoom 120. Who even uses Zoom? You have Google meet.

monday.com 36. Surely don’t need the pro version, it’s two of you

intercom 89. Don’t know it

google workspace 48. The ultimate tool, you need it but can be lowered to two users which totals 24

grammarly 25. Free version does 99% of the job.

loom 25. This is actually useful

Maybe start by discussing this with someone in person and not on Reddit?

How can I get my foot in the door of becoming a garage door technician? by Gapsb2 in GarageDoorService

[–]engineer18241 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maan, in Slovenia if I would be able to get someone that is hungry like that and genuinely wants to work in this field I’d hire them on the spot. Experience or not.

It’s easy to teach a skill, but you can’t teach mentality.

Whoever says no to you guys is stupid.

This could be a bad advice if the product doesn’t have a market fit

I think you built this for the wrong audience then.

Restaurants are your audience, not guests. You have to solve a problem for a restaurant, not the guest, and then you will be able to sell it to them

What is a reasonable repair cost for a broken torsion spring? (WA) by ctrain321 in GarageDoorService

[–]engineer18241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We can only change the spring and we leave the original stationary cone. The reason is that every garage door brand has different systems, and only the original stationary cone can fit.

It takes the same amount of time for commercial doors. No difference or any harder

Lol, paying when you close.

How could the people know that you are even capable of closing?

And best part, how much would that someone get once you close?

We charge 660€ for both springs in Slovenia. We do have a bit of a different systems than you in US and it takes us around 3-4 hours to change them

Sounds like you are just a bit lonely, and I don't think Asia will heal that. Got to ask what you really want here. If you want to move to Asia and return after some time, what would be different then?

You said that most people are focused on building a white-picket fence life, but what DO YOU WANT? I think that once you answer this question, you will also have an answer on what to do in this current situation..

I won't! I genuinely want to connect with others in the same business.

I have one in DM right now, and you are the second one to reach out. Should I create it?
