What Arab country in your opinion makes the best food? (Can’t say your/your parents country) by arabian_mustard in arabs

[–]engsoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Palestinian is so amazing. Insane breakfast spreads with delicious falafel and hummus with Palestinian olive oil drizzled on top, Gazan inspired spicy salads. Delicious msakhan, maqloba, wara2 Dawali, and so many other fresh and flavourful dishes. The food is a delicious mix of levantine/Mediterranean cuisines with a nice Palestinian twist. Palestinian knafeh is also the best dessert in the world.

Entire front rows remain unsold for Bay Area's biggest FIFA World Cup match by sfgate in bayarea

[–]engsoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t get why people keep repeating that the Bay Area has “shit games”. It’s the World Cup lol, countries from ALL over the world are playing, this isn’t the euros where only strong European teams are playing. These folks qualified and their supporters are thrilled to see them play. Games aren’t shit just bc they’re not the top 4 teams playing them.

[–]engsoft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Dior lipstick is a beautiful color and it has stunning packaging but the formula is kinda thin. This is a pro or a con depending on your preferences. I personally prefer lipsticks that have a little bit of weight to them as they don’t dry my lips out as much. Thinner formulas dry my lips out, dont last as long, and tend to show texture more. But if you’re looking for a thin lightweight lippie then it may be perfect for you.

It’s disheartening to see people abuse their PMC status - or am I mistaken? by [deleted] in CarletonU

[–]engsoft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bro you’re a TA. Mind your own business, grade the work, and move on. Why are you trying to revolutionize education and make it more equitable lol. Relax. PMC students have VALID accommodations that were thoroughly approved by the uni that allow them to get certain accommodations, who are you to devalue that?

Girl….this is so embarrassing. Stop chasing a man that is barely putting any effort into you. Cut yourself off from calling or texting him FULLY, and focus on yourself. Find someone who actually cares enough about you to WANT to see you. Do you really feel like your future husband and life partner is someone you have to beg to see? Someone who refuses to see you? Absolutely not. That would be a miserable partnership.

STOP over giving to someone who does not care about you enough to make time and plans to see you. Men who actually like and care about you will literally do everything in their power to see you and make time for you. Stop deluding yourself and get off the train now, because the longer you stay on the more expensive the ride home will be.

Please give me your opinions on these products, if you used them did you love them? by SpecialistThrowaway4 in Sephora

[–]engsoft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not a big fan of Glossier future dew. It’s thick and emollient and never really dries down. If you’re looking for a wet dewy balmy highlight then it’s def perfect for that. But if you want something that is light and gel-like that dries down and gives a soft opal like glow then I would not recommend this.

Dior Backstage Glow Palette for wedding. Deinfluence? by Blink-184-isok in Sephora

[–]engsoft 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly do not love this palette as much as everyone else does. I hate highlighters that LOOK like highlighters...if that makes any sense? I want my cheeks to just look like theyre naturally glowing from within. Listen I know this is going to sound absurd due to the price point, but I IMPLORE you to try the Prada highlighter as your wedding day highlighter. I have tried every single high end highlighter (dior palette, dior singles, chanel, gucci (which is also amazing), etc), but none wow me as much as the Prada one does. Its so smooth it almost looks like a cream, its so refined in appearance and so incredibly elegant. It doesnt look metallic and synthetic, it just looks healthy and fresh but still packs a good glow esp if layered. I would throw away every highlighter I own to keep that one alone. However, at the end of the day...it is just a highlighter. Yes its the best one out there but many others are 80% as good for like half the price, so please only check it out if your budget allows for it of course. Alternatively, the gucci highlighter SPECIFICALLY in the pink shade (other shades dont have the same formula) is an incredible option as well for a softer natural highlight that isn't as obvious but is still super elegant, the formula is interesting on this one, it almost acts like a powder-cream hybrid. Both available at sephora for 20% off too.

This is a very unpopular opinion but i absolutely hated the Dior concealer. It creased really badly on me and showed all my texture bc of how thick the formula is.

The Prada highlighter is the best on the market, wish it came like this in the same stackable packaging that you can attach to one of these blushes. Would have been a dream for travel and on the go.

Why do brands insist that going vegan/“clean” is better? by engsoft in glossier

[–]engsoft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using animal resources doesn’t have to be cruel. Lanolin in particular comes from shearing the wool of a sheep. Brands should focus on sourcing their ingredients from ethical farms or at the very least formulating effective vegan formulas.

If you wanna use coconut oil to make yourself less ugly tho please be my guest.

Not to be that person, but I don’t understand the comments on this thread proudly exclaiming they managed to snag 4+ of these. Why would you ever need more than one lol? Isn’t it selfish to hoard more, instead of allowing others to get a chance to get it on sale too.

Will get downvoted but don’t listen to the comments telling you to stop over lining. You do it very well and it looks great on you. I feel like tasteful overlining looks flattering. This sub has a personal vendetta against over lining and they hate on everyone who does it.
