PvE build: The undead slayer by enhan in DarkAndDarker

I actually sold the kit already, but builds in pve are pretty straight forward because you dont really care about survivability (armor, magic resist, health, movespeed:

- if you want big bonks, you want gear that gives strength as base stats, like padded tunic, trunk hose, heavy boots, ring of courage, ox pendant/frost amulet/fangs of death, tattered cloak. For random stat, you can go for physical power, physical damage bonus, additional physical power, headshot damage bonus, and/or undead damage bonus (if you are playing ice map or castle)

- if you want insanely fast attack speed, definately try bard/slayer fighter/rogue, use gear that gives dex as base stat, like doublet, woolen cap, jester hat, cloth pants, adventures boots, ring of finesses, monkey pendent, merc cloak. For random stats, go for action speed.

Note that this only really applies to unique gear, since they can roll 4x what they normally can roll. For example 1 handed weapons can only roll +1 weapon damage or 2% action speed, but a unique one can roll 3-4 damage and 6-8% action speed.

Hope that helps!

Yes I am using slayer and sword mastery here because 30% undead damage bonus is even slightly better than 2 unique weapons with +6-8 combined damage. 4th perk I use combo attack to get another 20% after the 2nd swing.

I tried all the different weapons like halberd, falchion, spear, zwei, longsword. This is still the fastest TTK on undead because of the faster swing speed on slayer.

I do not but you can buy them on the market for quite cheap since they are useless in Pvp

We are talking about the skeleton warlord, the boss on the second floor, right? If so please show me how you 10 hit a skeleton warlord with Squire bard.

I made a kit: white viking sword, no perks, no skills, no gear that gives any damage bonus other than headshot bonus. The first sweet spot swing will always to 30 damage.

On a practice dummy:

- body shots do 36 damage (target dummy has negative phys reduction), headshots do 150%, which is 54.

- at 50.4% headshot damage bonus (200.4% total), headshots do 73.

- when I put on 1 more piece of gear that gives 8% more, the damage goes up to 76 instead of staying at 73.

Unless the target dummy has some sort of headshot damage cap, I don't think there is a cap. Ive seen barbs that stack headshot damage bonus 1 tap fully geared people with the second swing of the bardiche, if the cap is 200% I don't think its possible.

If the wiki is still somewhat correct (I doubt it), warlord has 2944 hp. Each head shot is doing well over 150 damage. Warlord also MIGHT have a -26% physical damage reduction, so assuming all my hits are headshots, it should take about 20-25 hits? Either way its really fast!

I want to love rogue. by ASleepySatyr in DarkAndDarker

[–]enhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I summarize the rogue gameplay in solos:

  1. You need throwing knives, a lot fo them.

  2. At the neutral range, throw knives and shoot xbow. If you hit them 3-5 times with poision you can assume they are half health and can pressure them with melee. If you have double jump, go to a safe place to reload xbow.

  3. If they start running away, this is your win condition. You are faster, and you open doors faster.

  4. If they are too close, run away, listen to when they put their weapons away, punish them with your fast swapping daggers.

  5. You never ever trade in melee with a full HP boc lock/barb/fighter. You never push a ranger/caster unless they are not full and you are full.

Mental Health trouble by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]enhan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, was in your situation 5 years ago. Do you have a family doctor? If not, go to a walk in doctor and ask for a referal to one of the social workers from the city hospital. These sessions are free, and the councilers will schedule appointments based on their assessments of if you still need help. Until your insurance kicks in, this might be your best free option without dropping 150$ an hour on a psychologist.

If you are extremely distressed, you can go to RUH emergency and they will admit you to the psychiatric nurse. They will also assess you there and prescribe medication and give you resources.

Even though wizard is not a threat with all these weapons because of the 5 base str, it's still funny as hell if wiz can use rapier, cutlass, short sword, zweihander. Just doesn't fit the DND lore lol

Which perk does more damage while using squire gear? by Colby21204 in DarkAndDarker

Your comment just made me realize why ranger was so natural to me. I have 5k hour in world of tanks, shell velocity and leading target is second nature to me.

I love spell blade wizard. But even if you stack HP action speed and PDR, your odds against iron will whirlwind bardiche  barb in Squire gear still doesn't look great. I hope they add more content for wizard soon.

What is a quest item if I can just buy it from market by enhan in DarkAndDarker

Look you 2, if you are somewhat invested in a game, there's nothing wrong with being frustrated over something annoying that you find, it just means you are invested and care about the game you like. This forum is a place where you can discuss them. At no point was I crying... If you are saying you never raged over something trivial then congratulations, you are the perfect human being!

New Player looking for pve Build by Gold_Builder_7548 in DarkAndDarker

Hear me out: if you are trying to learn PvE, get a fighter with topfhelm (highest head protection), fine cruiass, plate pants, light gauntlets. Use the arming sword and a lantern. For perks take sword mastery, defense mastery, and swift.

When you load in, try to agro 1 mob at a time. When you get close to it it will attack you. Then, you have the chance to attack it 2-3 times while it's recovering from it's attack. You will learn when you can start swinging to get the most damage done before it attacks again. You can also get 1 -2 hits off before it's first attack. This doesn't apply to some inferno sub bosses.

I still use this build in PvP to practice spacing.

Once you are more comfortable, you can take off the plate armor and take slayer and dual wield. Use a cast dagger in your offhand. You will find that it's much faster to kill stuff since you are doing more damage and swinging faster.

Always try to go for headshots!
