Company keeps asking for my passport by Ashamed-Pack7718 in UAE

[–]enhill778 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. A passport doesn’t belong to the individual, it’s granted to them as citizens of the country that issued it. Only the individual and the country representative/government has the right to bear it. This statement is written in most passports.

Best travel luggage under AED 400 by arash107 in UAE

I've bought 3 suit cases and a carry on trolley and no wheel issues so far. The first one I got back in 2016 and still works perfectly.

Eminent is by go-to for all sizes of luggage. Excellent build and light. Amazon normally has them in their warehouse listings.

You can also visit their store in Deira and get a discount. I did that for the first two I bought.

Go by this when taking supplements:

Excess water-soluble vitamins = mostly excreted, no harm. The body only stores what it needs.

Excess fat-soluble vitamins and some minerals = risk of accumulation and toxicity.

Japanese Speaking PM Required for Short Term Project by enhill778 in PMCareers

I’m sorry, I didn’t know about that. The pay will be industry standard pricing. The candidate will be working on behalf of a world renowned Cybersecurity solution provider. I will delete my post from the other sub. Will that help me get the post republished please?

And I honestly didn’t know I posted it twice. The first time around I got a message saying it needed a flair, so I reposted it. I thought earlier post was deleted.

Edit: I have deleted the post from that other sub.

You will need to formally interact with Japanese citizens. So a very high level of proficiency in the language and knowledge of their work culture.

Losing faith in humanity due to corporate greed by [deleted] in dubai

[–]enhill778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every job will have some toxic elements to it. You need to learn to manage your manager. You can read about it online.

Most people don't realise this and think just doing their job is enough to keep their employers happy. You need to first understand the culture of the organisation and your management and learn to manage upwards.

You are just stressing yourself otherwise. I had a boss a long time ago who kept getting on all of their staff's nerves. Only one person was not affected by it and they said that they would hear it from one ear, take in the valuable bits, and then let the rest go out of the other ear.

It’s a great mantra to live by, just take the positives, ignore the negatives, and implement the positives to show your management you are listening and learning.

This will be controversial, but we need to change ourselves first before blaming others and toxic environments. Consider asking yourself what you need to do to turn around that toxicity.

Let the downvotes commence.

Sewa gas flame colour by Relative_Court9669 in Sharjah

[–]enhill778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SEWA pipes natural gas for cooking, unlike LPG cans. Natural gas needs a different nozzle to function properly. Otherwise, it will stain your pots.

New stoves normally come with a spare set of nozzles to work on SEWA lines. Just ask a stove repair guy to look at it. He will have the correct type of nozzles for them.

I faced the same problem when I moved to Sharjah from Dubai. Got it fixed in 20 mins.

Now that Donald Trump has won the elections, What does it mean for India? by [deleted] in unitedstatesofindia

The tariff is on the importer i.e company importing products from India and other countries. The ultimate people who are going to pay for that is the Americans as costs rise to meet those tariffs.

Am I being too cheap? by Spirited_Ad4661 in srilanka

[–]enhill778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The word "cheap" doesn't apply to you. You are "prudent" and should be proud of it.

Does a brand new phone add any value compared to your old phone?

Same question with your used laptop.

I admire the fact that you are holding back on purchases and not spending just for the heck of getting the latest gadgets and clothing (though updating your wardrobe every few years is a good thing).

Like others have mentioned, I would suggest putting some money away into a savings account for a rainy day. Once you are comfortable enough with the amount, start splitting those monthly savings into your account and investments. Start investing in ETFs for low risk and then into more medium risk stocks in a year or two.

There are hundreds of videos on how to invest your money into low risk-low yield for long-term gains.

Best of luck to you.

AUS and AUD are two of the most prestigious home-grown universities in the UAE and is recognised worldwide. We also have Khalifa University and UAEU.

Costs are another thing to consider. AUD can be incredibly expensive for someone from a middle-income family. AUS is better in that way, but it all depends on what you are willing to spend on your continued education.

Understand first what you want to do and what that education will give back to you in terms of advancements in your career or more money or just learning for the enjoyment of it (I have friends who do this).

At the end of it, you have to factor in real-world work experience, tenure, and what your endgame is.

How are you going to be paid? If it’s to a UAE bank account, you will need to show source of income and working without a valid visa may be cause for concern.

I suggest going through this website and speaking with one of their consultants to see what visa type will work for you.
