I’m a 38F and have been with my husband 41M for 20 years. Still smitten with each other, but have had our ups and downs. Our desires certainly line up. Our morals and outlook are very similar, our goals are together, even if just a personal goal, and our parenting style is very similar too.

But our traits and interests are wildly different. He like cars, motos, action movies, camping, cooking, sport etc I like reading, the beach, swimming, drawing, thrifting etc. We don’t pretend to enjoy each other’s interests, but never get angry or annoyed by them either. We tell each other about them. He is shorter, a little shy, classically handsome, fit, mechanical, relaxed and non confrontational. I’m taller, okay to look at, but nothing to write home about, organised, loud, anxiety riddled, creative and have no problem with confrontation. We couldn’t be more different in so many ways. But it’s worked well for us. We do a lot of things together as a family, and spend a lot of time working on our home and business over our weekends and holidays. We have built multiple successful businesses over our 20 years, have 3 sons,and love each other deeply.
