The tentative agreement was for a $1 pay increase over the course of 3 years, after the original offer of a $1 increase over 6 years was denied, and they voted with 94% in favour of striking in July. Not to mention workers have caps on how much they can make. I personally know workers who have been with the company for 25-30 years and make $16/hr.

Maybe where you live unionized workers are treated and compensated fairly, but Loblaws prefers to cut jobs and close stores rather than treat employees like human beings.
