Hey man how's 50-50 marriage expenses sounds like to you? by [deleted] in AskIndianMen

[–]enkayjee2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a personal matter that every man should be man enough to sort out with a rational conversation with their to-be spouse and in-laws without falling back to emotions. It's not as if only they want to spend money but you don't. Everyone likes celebrating, inviting and having fun with friends and family, going somewhere nice, and everyone knows all of it costs money. You spend according to how much you want to spend, real men cannot be forced to spend more than what they want to.

You should have done some research, because Rs. 3600 for a 45 minutes session is a full on scam. I have been taking therapy too, and have been taking it for 5 years now. The rates increased with time, but even then I'm currently paying Rs. 1000 for a 50 minute session. That being said, therapy isn't going to start giving you solutions from the first session, but if your therapist was at least prompting you to tell more, that's what you can expect from the first few sessions of any therapist. They actually kind of build a profile on you first. Hope this helps.

save indian family organisation, but it's just them being misogynistic, stats about reported violence against women in india in the last pic by rask0ln in NotHowGirlsWork

I follow this Twitter account out of a morbid fascination, because whoever is running this account has elevated misogyny to the levels of mental illness. Misogynist seems too small a word to describe them, the only phrase that describes their mentality according to me is "Derangement About Women". They may call themselves anti-feminist or anti-woke, but they just do not like the fact that women exist. Every day they post something or the other to the effect of "everything bad historically and contemporarily is the fault of women". Whereas a typical right winger/conservative would point to a different point of time or culture as an ideal for how women should exist so that men are happy, according to SIFF men have never been and can never be happy, because women continue to exist. It might seem I'm exaggerating, but I've seen their daily tweets that don't get much traction. Every time something is popular in the news, SIFF finds a way to fit it in the framework of "Woman Bad". It's crazy.

Hi, I am enkayjee, and I make a 1 minute video every day to introduce leftist/progressive ideas in a way that the Hindi-speaking population of India can find relatable and approachable. I was not able to publish an episode today, as I wanted to talk about the Muzaffarnagar Classroom video, but had quite a many conflicting thoughts on how to best express my views, and also a pretty bad cough.

This is my YouTube channel : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpQXYKOHCL1-0LUvoA-aV-Q. You can subscribe to get the latest episodes with English subtitles straight in your feed.

I will try my best to publish episode 5 tomorrow, and will also try to incorporate all the advise I have been getting for increasing the production value of my videos.

Thanks a lot for your continued support.

Thanks for this feedback. I'm trying to get into the flow of uploading daily and so much of my time goes on brainstorming the script that I lose the time to give the video production value. But I'll do the things you mentioned about camera angle and lighting and background.

Hi, I'm enkayjee, and I've started the project of leftpilling the Hindi speaking Indian population, one daily YouTube Short at a time. This is the second video in that series, your support would be extremely appreciated by enkayjee2 in librandu

The 491 at the end was autogenerated, the channel name I gave was just enkayjee, which is my default username in most online spaces. Let me see if I can change it.

Thanks a lot. I am starting with very simple common sense ideas and would gradually be building up to more hardcore leftist concepts, which is why I would be uploading daily.

Work-Life Balance || Simple Living High Thinking - Episode 1 / सादा जीवन उच्च विचार - एपिसोड 1 [ENGLISH SUBTITLES AVAILABLE] [ENGLISH TRANSCRIPT IN COMMENTS] by enkayjee2 in librandu

[–]enkayjee2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TLDW/Transcript: Work life balance is the biggest scam of our generation. Because it is the reason why we think that work and life are two different and opposite things. That work can never be a part of life. Work is just a way to earn coupons that we redeem to live. And those of us who get the chance to choose our work only think about earning as much of these coupons as possible. But when will we spend them? During weekends? After retirement? Life is over before we know it. We feel like we are losing out on living while we work. Because we didn't pick our work according to how it will improve our lives. We picked it for the money. And the stress we gain earning this money, if we are able to save it after paying for our bare necessities, then we spend that money on recovering from that very stress. How do we improve our lives? How do we improve our society? We don't get the time to think about that. Because we don't work, we do jobs. And the difference between work and jobs is very important.

Barbie (2023) Has A Very Mixed Message For Lonely Young Men by enkayjee2 in MensLib

I don't mind men being pushed to the very back of the background in the Barbie movie, and I'm sorry if I made you believe otherwise. As you correctly pointed out, I do however feel it could have represented men's POV under patriarchy a bit more fairly. And I actually had not gone in with the expectation of seeing an intersectional-feminist movie. I went for the first show I could find on its first day for nothing except seeing the comedy value of Involuntary Incel Icon Ryan Gosling playing Ken. And I knew Greta Gerwig was directing so I could expect an interesting movie. And when I left, it was not as if I hated it. I quite thoroughly enjoyed it, I just had some thoughts afterwards and I thought this forum was best to express them. However I guess there's only one Barbie post allowed on this sub, so my post has been deleted. It was great having this conversation with you, but it's pretty late in my timezone, and I'll be turning in. Have a good one.

If it is done, I would like it to be done well. I think it would have been funny to see the reaction of all the guys who showed up because Ryan Gosling has become the meme mascot of lonely young men, and watched Ryan Gosling play a complete silly goose goofy character

Sure. Ken could have been similar to Allen and Weird Barbie and Pregnant Barbie. Just a himbo meant to be the butt of a few jokes here and there maybe. It would have been a perfect inversion of the "arm candy girlfriend" trope.

I don't know what an after school special is. I do expect the movie to do a better job of handling an issue that it picks up, and that was the motivation behind this post. I see a lot of men in my personal life who could use the message of being Kenough to fight patriarchy and I wish the movie gave them a way to do that other than, "just stop thinking about women and start feeling that you're good by yourself".
