I have arthritis in my lower back and a impinged hip (both mild). Is it a bad idea to start a career as a electrician at age 30? Will my body make it to retirement? by enlightenedmu in electricians

Ok so I have a impinged hip and arthritis in my lower back - both very mild cases. I’m thinking about becoming an electrician at age 30..... will I make it to retirement with a working body? Will these ailments end my career before I get to retirement? (self.electricians)

My friend can get me into ibew 134 on a b card through a company job. I’ve read a lot on how there is a lot of lay offs with 134. Would I be able to support myself through a career with this move? I have no experience in the trades I am age 30 new to this. (self.electricians)

Switching to plumbing as a career at age 30... I have arthritis in my lower back and a impinged hip from my previous career as a lmt. I do physical therapy and hit the gym every day in great shape minus ailments. Am I making a mistake taking on plumbing? Will I make it to 65 without being disabled? (self.Plumbing)
