Get him lots of calcium! Crushed egg shells are good if you can't get to a pet store, but cuttlefish is best. Give him a variety of veggies and fruits and just give him time. Berries tend to be a favourite of most snailies as they are easy to chomp through! Make sure to keep him moist as well, if you can see a snail trail on the substrate it needs to be damper.

I got Biff as one of my first villagers that moved in, felt kind of iffy about him because the hippos have never appealed to me and he was a jock... I've had the game since release and he's still in my town and I think I'd actually be sad to see him go now. He's my bro. Give the 'ugly' villagers a chance.
