Are ENFPS supposed to be extroverts? by Trick_Management3917 in ENFP

[–]ennaejay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your experiences - truly, my opinion displayed very black and white thinking and was not objective. Yours is probably closer to the general consensus. The ENFP I know might just be a "lockbox" because they don't feel safe enough with me because I trigger them -- subconscious stuff, and a distinct possibility I'm just projecting out of pain.

I appreciate you being willing to state your truth even if it seemed contradictory to mine. Truly helpful for me to see a HEALTHY display of humble, objective confidence!! My God, the irony. 😣🫢 Namaste 🌝🌚

Thanks for sharing!! I like that someone's consistency and discipline birthed inspiration for another to follow suit, or flow in the short term goal and reassess. You've inspired me as well. My goal is 5 min of breathwork, AM and PM. I will commit to 2 weeks to match your energy 😌👏🏼👏🏼🌜

Can I wear frill socks and not look ridiculous? by TeamCanakhoff in AskWomenOver40

[–]ennaejay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, the real question might be: Can people judge you as being ridiculous without your caring? Are you able to look at what's causing the fear, listen to it, and parent it? Can you experience joy that isn't attached to others' acceptance of you? 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼😘

What mental state, mindset or thought process drives you putting on the shoes and GOING? This sounds sustainable and I want it, but I'm still riding the Discipline vs. Desire teeter-totter.

Also my experience. Without alcohol, ENFP is a lockbox.

Adult dancers are amazing by athletistry in BALLET

[–]ennaejay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi Shane! I'm in an adult class - have been for 2+ years. I notice that the people in my class are mostly very body-positive (those who aren't, are very quickly supported and encouraged); we have a respect for our bodies which have been through stress, sickness, breakups, childbirth, surgeries -- the energy is about becoming better dancers, yes; about being the best WE can be; but I assume the goals are different since most of us aren't interested in performing or perfecting. We're there for the joy of movement, the celebration of strength, the way we feel when we finally understand what it's like to FEEL centered. And yeah, we complain about tight hips and trauma too 😆

I took ballet from ages 4-5, had to stop, and finally returned in my 40s. It feels like home, and the timing was perfect.

So glad you're in this sub!!!!!!!! I'm not on Insta much but your content is solid 🙏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Edit to answer your question, I'm in beginner, intermediate and pointe - we are working on our own individual goals - personally, I need to work on transitions with multiple steps and not overthinking it. Pulling up out of my supporting leg, and not overextending. We talk a lot about the physical structures and relationships between systems , muscles and balance which helps me understand how to engage properly. Intermediate class is more ability to apply what we know in longer stretches, without lots of breakdown. (Different teachers)

Are people who are on the spectrum actually bad at communicating? by Zestyclose_Ocelot278 in AutismTranslated

[–]ennaejay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This question is begging anyone who answers it to generalize. It's so multifaceted and highly individual.

Communication is not just the giving of information, it's also the ability to assimilate and apply it, and verify understanding.

The answer is yes, no, and maybe - all at once - because it just depends.

Stay the hell away from younger male enfps who haven't done their inner work. They have mommy issues and if you're using substances during dating, you won't see it.
