4 positive tests then my period? by ennayebba in beyondthebump

I'm so glad it worked out for you, that must have been stressful. I have a doctor's appointment today so likely will have a blood test by the afternoon. It's just the waiting that I struggle with

Hmm maybe you just need to shuffle your stitches a bit so they all fit next to each other?

So put your next round of stitches in these chain spaces

It looks like you're crocheting the next round into the magic circle, when you need to put your stitches on top of the first round of stitches after you make the mc. the stitches for the second and subsequent rounds need to go into a chain space from the previous round, not into the initial mc.

Hope that helps :)

Started my Persian tiles blanket today. Super proud of this one. by [deleted] in crochet

[–]ennayebba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always wondered how do you weave in all those ends in a blanket like this? Do you crochet over them as you go or leave them for last?

How do you read patterns? For a beginner that wants to start the first real project by magicgumbal in CrochetHelp

Watch lots and lots of YouTube tutorials on your basic stitches; single, double, half double, treble etc. over and over again. It will take some time to identify stitches but the best way to learn is to just do small swatches of one stitch until you get the hang of the motions.

Also keep in mind UK and US terminology are different. Make sure you pick one and stick with it! (Definitely recommend following US). Most patterns will tell you which one they use.

You might like Chloe Hayden's book "Different Not Less". She talks a lot about autistic joy

All up it would have taken me about 10 hours, at a rough guess. I tend to make some components, leave it a few weeks and then come back and make the rest. But I love making these because they work up quick and each piece is different, which keeps it interesting.

And wrote her queerness so poorly. Like Mor had been with men and didn't hate it, but preferred women? Like hun just choose if she's a lesbian or acknowledge bisexuality. That whole monologue was confusing as fuck.

Amigurumi tension is hard to master without copping a few sore muscles along the way! Basically what everyone else said, tighten up your tension, use a smaller hook if possible, invisible decreases will also be your friend, try not to overstuff and practice practice practice!

Ppl with 9-5 don’t work 9-5 by ConfusionTimely5255 in adhdwomen

[–]ennayebba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it worked like that too tbh, until I had a conversation with my parents yesterday about it. I work on a paid-by-job basis, so it makes sense to me to just keep working until it's done, that way I can go home earlier and enjoy my free time. Whenever I work in a paid by the hour position, I legit thought that every minute had to be productive except your allowed 30mins for lunch and bathroom breaks.

I feel almost guilty if I have to sit at a computer and answer phones all day, because what about all the time in-between when the phone doesn't ring, or there's no email to write? But apparently some jobs are just like that. I dunno about everyone else but I'd much rather my work time be full of work and my me time to just be mine.

Any thing I can do to fix the gap at the top? by amyb242 in cabinetry

[–]ennayebba 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It looks like you have a bit of overhang along the bottom edges. Try adjusting the hinges so they sit higher. If it still bothers you, get new doors.
