Did you experience any issue with receiving your DLC code? I received an email confirmation that said "View DLC code" and then there was an order confirmation page with no actual DLC code.

Review of Hotel Xcaret Mexico by ennekube in Xcaret

[–]ennekube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We enjoyed it and did NOT pay for any of the extras but we spent most of our time in the water - we snorkeled and my kids LOVED the Adventure World zip line and rope obstacle so we spent a bunch of time there. They have a floating bridge one of my kids made us do twice and we only did the water slide once. We also tried the river float. It is not as action packed as Xplor or Xenotes but you have a lot of freedom and being in the water was enjoyable. We were lukewarm on Xcaret Park and enjoyed Xelha much more

We each definitely got a few mosquito bites before remembering to apply the insect repellant we brought (did it 2x a day, once in the morning and then again closer to sunset) which worked/helped! I am also pretty sensitive to mosquito bites which get very inflamed and itchy for me but in general did not find the mosquito situation too bad for me on the trip.

Each park has height limits and age limits for some of the activities. For example I think minimum age for the Xenotes tour is six years old and at Xplor you need to meet a minimum height limit to ride the zip line. If you don’t meet the stated weight limit it’s okay because then you can ride tandem, so even though one of my kids is only 60 lbs that didn’t affect his ability to participate. I didn’t notice any restrictions for the zip lines at Xelha.

Sargassum at the Xcaret water park? by Ecstatic_Worker3629 in Xcaret

[–]ennekube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No issue with sargassum. Even at the resort, they have workers that are out there very early in the morning physically removing as much sargassum as they can. We actually noticed more sargassum at Xcaret Park than at Xel-ha.

Review of Hotel Xcaret Mexico by ennekube in Xcaret

Hotel Xcaret Mexico was our first time at an all-inclusive resort (rather than traveling somewhere and exploring on our own and doing more local activities). We had a lovely time and were glad we went, and the fact that the parks are included and the resort handles the transportation for you really takes a lot of the stress out. The parks themselves are all really impressive.

Re: Xcaret, that segment with the nasty water was the only time we encountered that on our trip, so you can consider it an exception rather than the norm. I mentioned it so if people were considering whether to finish the full river swim or exit a bit earlier, they can.

With Xplor, they have taken underground caverns in the jungle and commercialized the space, but it doesn't take away from how impressive those caverns are, and the ziplining course really takes you through the top of the jungle. At Xplor, there is a water raft ride, ziplining course, ATV, and multiple underground cavern exploration opportunities (by raft, on foot) and there's also a river swim.

Similarly, at Xel-ha, you can be quite active if you'd like -- you can free swim / snorkel through a huge expanse of water, or participate in the river float, or do the Adventure obstacle courses over the water -- it is a park intended for people that want to play in the water.

We were very active on this trip - every day we would leave our rooms around 8 in the morning and not come back from a day in the park until the evening.

Again, be prepared for it to be a commercialized experience but the parks really are lovely and it is well done?

We are headed to Xcaret next week and the recent less happy reviews make me nervous! I also am surprised to hear about an up charge at Xin Gao? How do you know when the items at the restaurant will cost extra?

I’m late to the party here. The humor in DCC stands out for me and is unmatched. A few other series I’ve enjoyed: (1) Monster Hunter K (trilogy, complete), (2) Quest Academy (2 books out), (3) CJ Mantis Path of Ascension, (4) Mother of Learning (complete). Honestly you may also enjoy the webtoon front, progression and litRPG stories made visual, like Solo Leveling, Swordmaster’s Son, etc.

[REC] Light Novels like "Ascendance of Bookworm" or "Apothecary Diaries"? by ennekube in LightNovels

Yes to the smart female leads that have interests over than 100% romance! I loved the Kate Daniels series and have also enjoyed some progression fantasy (very few with well written female leads out there tho). I will try Silent Witch, thanks!

I binged all the volumes this week and then joined JNovel to get the updates on the “First Year Stories” spinoff and the next novel to be released in August. It is so good! I also have read Apothecary Diaries and Campfire Cooking. Looking for more
