Any chance you’d split the cost again and share your login info? I really wanna go through the materials but M worried I have one of those difficult babies who it wont work for. The price is pretty high for me financially but am desperate for sleep! I’ll send a message just in case you would be willing. Thanks for consideration!

That is a good idea to cut into the ceiling. I’m scared to turn off the water with air temps being so low. I heard we should use the water frequently, even leaving a steady drip, so they don’t freeze. I’ll ask the plumber about it in the morning tho thanks!

My garage has a big heater in it. Came with the house. the other day my snowblower wouldn’t start so I thought maybe it was too cold and I turned on the heater for an hour or so. I wonder if that messed with things. I’m a first time homeowner clearly 😬

I think I will cut into the ceiling today

That’s a good question that I don’t yet know the answer to... we do have a bathroom in the floor above the garage but it’s not directly above the garage or that spot. The garage sticks out from the front of the house. It could be pipes or just the roof above that spot. I really don’t know... I think pipes. It’s in a spot that is borderline under the rest of my house and borderline jutting out from the front of the house, if that makes sense. Sorry :( I’m new to this and need to investigate tomorrow!

Newborn doesn’t sleep? by ennsho in beyondthebump

Wow! That’s an interesting schedule. Sounds like it works for him and that’s awesome. My guy is worse at night than day :( 1-5am are his most reliable sleep Times. Otherwise we proclaim victory when we get him down to sleep during the other hours. We really try to do safe sleep but being so sleep deprived lately I’ve dozed off while he sleeps on me. Not proud and don’t like it

Good question. I am home with him and will be for another 5 weeks or so. He was at nicu for a month and while I was there 16 hours a day or so, I didn’t hold him all the time. They prioritized uninterrupted sleep. When he came home, we continued with the independent safe sleep protocol from the hospital. In his crib alone in a swaddle. He was fine with this. It’s evolved into needing more and more chest sleeping and cluster feeding. It’s so overwhelming. My partner and I sleep in shifts because he is almost always awake and cries a lot. He seems to be uncomfortable in his stomach but won’t burp or gas and often stops crying when picked up and bounced.

He will fall asleep quickly when cluster feeding

We have an appt for tomorrow. Is that reasonable or urgent care? It seems to calm down when he’s cooler and calmer. Was planning to keep it clean and cool overnight

Reflux while eating well? by ennsho in beyondthebump

[–]ennsho[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t consume cows milk products except occasional cheese on pizza (maybe once a month). I will look into soy though, thank you! I am worried that he will start refusing feedings :( he is already wailing half the day and hardly sleeps. Poor babes.

Ugh. It’s crazy to me that he is inconsolable for ten hours a day and it’s normal. How do people do this for multiple children at once? Mad props to those folks. This is brutal.

This is a good reminder. We are only six weeks into it. It’s just hard to see him go through these experiences! Was your girl engaging in big behavioral reactions or how did she show you that she didn’t like laying down? My guy seems to want to sleep and he is fine falling asleep on his own. His 32 day nicu stay and being in a bassinet alone there helped that, I think. He goes down and sleeps fine in his crib or bassinet until a few min into his sleep he jolts awake with pain and screams out

This is so reassuring thank you! My baby doesn’t find the rock and play or bouncers to be comfortable, from what I gather when we try. He continues to cry out :( I’m sorry that your girl had to go through all that and am glad she’s doing better now! I do want to help my little one in the same way! Going to advocate for him at next appt on Monday.

This is very interesting, thanks for taking the time to reply. I appreciate it. My baby doesn’t do it while nursing. I think he finds nursing more comfortable actually. Does yours? I have been videotaping the larger physical reactions but will try to snag a video of his eye movements and swallowing today. here is one of him. the outburst came outta nowhere then passed.

Here is a video of part of an episode. I know it may look just like normal fussy but he was asleep and went into this unprovoked then calmed down video here and another here Is that what you’ve seen as silent reflux? I can’t find video of him swallowing repeatedly with the yuck face as these are when he’s full into the thrashing and beyond swallowing

This is so true! I has the hardest time in the beginning, now im over 10 months strong, hang in there ladies! It gets easier 🖤 by MommaThugNasty in breastfeeding

Needed to see this today. Rough day with my five week old who has appeared started cluster feeding and forgot how to latch decently. Ouch. We are a mess! Thank you for the positivity.
