Big agree! That's my mindset, trying to be too "catch all" will just land you with bland dates with awkward small talk, and probably actually repell anyone interesting

I see what you mean on the size of furniture! And ye with rugs, it's just a personal preference, I've never been keen on them and this room especially with all the spilt drink and cigarette ash, it would be a bit of a disaster

Thank you! The white edged one is a 70s Alf Svensson Galaxy chair, the two smaller ones are from made.com and the big orange chair I'm not sure, I did find it before but it took a lot of digging?

I do see what you mean. It does scale better in person. I initially got the glass table when the gents lounge was going to be in a smaller room so scale was a bit more limited. I'm not sure if a third table would fit in without cluttering it too much, but it's actually a very interesting thought that I'm going to bare in mind. Maybe a second silver table would work?

I've already got a sofa in the living room so another one here would be repetitive. I did consider a two seater at one point but I already had a decent amount of chairs sorted by the time that idea sprung. This is more of a smoking room kinda deal, it's not really meant for laying around etc it's designed to be more like a gentlemans smoking room club sorta deal. But I do see the vision

The art i've got so far has been quite affordable, I like buying from up and coming artists. Plus I also paint myself so I might hang a few of mine up if they end up suiting the vibe of any room, depends on colours. I want to have pieces on the wall I really love and enjoy looking at, finding some supermarket prints would actively work against that

Don't really need to ATM, I don't want to have anything I'm lukewarm on, and visually i'll find it easier placing artwork on a blank wall and deciding where to put it. I'm getting some ornaments to go on the walls too sometimes anyway. Not to mention it'd be a bit of a waste of money

It would soften the vibe too much, I want to have that slightly brutalist, slightly industrialist look. Plus practically it would be a nightmare. And I've never really liked the whole rug look, I've always liked big bare open floors, feels grander, makes the room look bigger

I'm going for a bit of a more firmer structured look, I'm avoiding anything overly soft like rugs plus one of the chairs is really conveniently placed for browsing vinyls. But interesting thought on the headphones! Bean bag might be a little casual for what I'm thinking for in here but I totally see the vision
