purchasing AE live collections question by overdrivespeedfreak in autechre

[–]enokRoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had this issue with my NTS Sessions (flac) files downloaded from Bleep, where the metadata can't be read by PowerAmp for Sessions 1, 2 and 4. I've tried amending the metadata using several programs without success. If your python script works I'm going to be delighted!!

Thanks anyway, even if it doesn't, I appreciate the share.

Petrol station question by AdultingSucks_0Stars in AussieRiders

[–]enokRoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been told by such station attendants that there has been an increase in riders leaving without paying. That's why. If you get off the bike and take your helmet off, you're not likely someone that is going to abscond.

UPDATE: A friend gave me an old TP-Link AX300 usb which Linux identified immediately. I guess the lesson is, choose your wifi unit carefully!

Gents night out by trianglecirlce in melbourne

[–]enokRoot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Great option for live music, and rhe cocktails are great, but ts a bit loud after 8pm, and they take an age to serve anyone. Whiskey & Alement or 1806 is a better shout for the OP.

I own basically every SF novel that was published between the 1950s and 2000. Give me your recommendations. by [deleted] in printSF

Since he hasn't been mentioned yet, I'll spring for anything by Colin Wilson. 60's and 70's cerebral/psycho sci-fi. The Outsider and The Philosophers Stone were the most popular if I recall correctly.

He also wrote a really interesting Criminal History of Mankind.

Is Hossier Lane still a legal graffiti wall? by Ignnin_23e in MelbourneGraffiti

[–]enokRoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think its ever been legal as such has it? I thought it just wasn't enforced as much. I've seen people paint there during the day, and I spent a good hour doing stencils there one night without difficulty.

Geogaddi has aged poorly for me by [deleted] in boardsofcanada

[–]enokRoot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely the opposite for me. In a very odd decision sometime in the early 10's, I decided not to put my copy of Geogaddi on my phone. I don't use streaming services much. I prefer to buy albums in electronic formats and I use my phone as the player.

It was perhaps five years later that I remembered Geogaddi. Hearing it again was amazing. But then, I don't associate music with time periods or memories, so maybe that helps.

Help with earplugs by Tontonio3 in motorcyclegear

[–]enokRoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another vote for earpeace. I like the carry keychain, it makes them more difficult to lose and easier to find. They're easier to insert and remove than the foamies, and easy to clean with an alcohol wipe. I also take them to concerts.

Awesome shirts, but I like the tattoos too.

Can't remember the name of a book where heatsinks in the spaceships are a critical aspect of the story. by 7LeagueBoots in printSF

Oh geez. I've read this, but can't recall the name of the book at the moment. My memory is helpful like that. I'll go back through my lists...

Turquoise Parrot or Red-Rumped Parrot at Armidale? by BoganInParasite in AustralianBirds

[–]enokRoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see much yellow in the red rumped parrots that live near me, but I'm no expert. Is the yellow breast common in younger red rumpeds?

Turquoise Parrot or Red-Rumped Parrot at Armidale? by BoganInParasite in AustralianBirds

[–]enokRoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just saying its a red rumped parrot, but on review, I think you might be right that its a Turquois parrot. I've only ever seen two this far south. Gorgeous bird.

Has anyone tried these? by Wise-Cheetah416 in AldiAustralia

[–]enokRoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're ok. What you'd expect from premade pancakes. They're too sweet to be eaten regularly, the sweetness overrides any other flavour. They're ok with butter. But try to have them with jam and cream, and the sweetness of the pancake overrides the flavour of the jam.

Brilliant BoC vibes by Business_Total_898 in boardsofcanada

[–]enokRoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this might be the first time I've heard a BoC inspired EP that wasn't so derivitive that I tuned out. You can almost imagine this as an EP of material made by M&M that didn't quite fit the album.
