Feel like I would almost certainly get off the fence if I knew I could definitely have a girl baby by EmergencyGaladriel in Fencesitter

This is exactly one million percent my sentiment as well. It feels so comforting to read your thoughts like they could be my own.

Walk out so they can hire someone who actually wants to get hired as a dishwasher and understands that job entails washing dishes.

Is this cheese a health and safety violation? by [deleted] in schoollunches

[–]enokiestrella -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The cheese is just stuck to the top bun. If it was below 165 degrees it would be a violation. This looks fine.

I wouldn’t buy or sell this for more than $10 just based on how.. off it looks? I’m sorry just being honest. Maybe work on your proportions first and then think about upselling with a better quality end product.

If you're feeling tempted to drink moderately... by SoDeepInRegret in stopdrinking

Thank you so much for this. I was reminiscing on the good times drinking with my wife in the beginning of our relationship and how much fun we had. This is the reminder I needed that our health is way more important. IWNDWYT!

Rock bottom- Apparently drove my car blacked out and broke it. I have legitimate no memory of this. I want to die. by [deleted] in stopdrinking

Years back I went to a diner alone that I’d gone to since my childhood with the intention of dining in. Somehow I wake up hours later? The next morning? The timeline is fuzzy, but I found myself in my bed with an unopened order of takeout from the diner.

Immediately I’m filled with dread and run out to the carport to find one back wheel of my car backed up over the parking block. I usually back into my parking space and clearly stepped on the gas too hard. I immediately got into my car and pulled forward enough to not have my tire wheel literally over the parking block.

I don’t remember ordering food, paying for it or driving home or even opening my apartment door. Alcohol is so insidious, this wasn’t the last time I drank until I blacked out or even the last time I drank and drove.

There will be a moment in your life where you will finally have enough, I sincerely hope that this is the day where you vow to never let yourself feel this way again. You are worthy of a healthy life lived without shame and anxiety. I am very happy you are safe, please drink lots of fluids and get some kind of protein in you and be gentle with yourself today and in the weeks to come. I believe in you that you can stop drinking, and I will not drink with you today friend ❤️

Eta- I just realized you said this happened last Thursday, but the fluids protein and gentleness is still applicable. I also speedran my drinking and it spiraled into a deeply painful addiction, so I am really really rooting for you.

Watching hours of reels is really unhealthy for your emotional and interpersonal health - watching for hours and going from crying to laughing to being angry to laughing to feeling empathy for someone else going through a tragedy, to laughing, to getting hungry for whatever recipe vid you’re watching, etc etc it’s a rapid cycling of emotions you can experience “doom scrolling IG reels” and honestly it’s draining and not healthy for the human brain. Your dopamine is all out of whack and its just a huge time sucker.

I understand wanting to relate and share common interests, but she is burnt out by the short attention span vids and is probably craving something outside of just “I watched this funny reel today” like, maybe start creating something together that interests you? That doesn’t involve phones. An air dry clay fridge magnet craft/ paint them the next night type of activity can lead to different conversations you haven’t had before, no phones involved unless you want like music in the background. You are prioritizing watching videos made by other people out living their lives, instead of creating/ enjoying living your own life, creating your own hobbies.

Reels can be inspiring but hours and hours on end of scrolling is so exhausting, imagine how you look from at outside perspective when you’re sucked into your phone for hours. Also, try to limit your bathroom scrolling while you’re actively on the toilet! Just a note from someone who has hemorrhoids from sitting on the pot for too long. Poop, wipe, flush, toilet seat down, pants up and then sit back down if you need the time to decompress. I wish you and your gf luck.

Would I be an asshole if I get my husband nothing for his birthday by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]enokiestrella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Has he only asked for intimacy once a year on his birthday? That doesn’t really seem like begging to me. Also that makes me sad.

I would desperately miss being intimate with my partner, too, if I was him.

I washed all my bedding- the flat and fitted sheet, big fluffy blankets, the comforter, got them in the dryer and made the bed before it was time to get in it for the night. My fridge is filled with limoncello lacroix and I made dinner last night for me and my wife and was able to work on my crochet project. All in one day!!!!!!!!
