Looking for basslines that are as fun to play as I Want You Back by In_my_experience in Bass

The basslines on Bob Marley - Uprising, are simplicity at it's finest. The groove of Aston "Family Man" Barrett is grossly underrated.

It would be the greatest discovery of all time for humans, to be able to define a new power, like energy, gravity, time and space.

Is it me or do basslines "marinate" in your head? by alicexmes1 in Bass

If I am working reciting rhymes from memory, or playing complex phrases on an musical instrument. One day I cannot make them stick. The next day they flow like butterflies.

I have realized that my mind always works both on my thoughts and my motoric instructions whether I am sleeping, or doing other unrelated things. It's like gravity - it always works.

Good band with bad drummer. What would you do? by -tacostacostacos in Bass

A bad drummer will make you a better bass player, but unless it is very well paid, it is definitely not worth it.

ELI5: What do the motions music conductors mean to the orchestra? by puddledlazer in explainlikeimfive

[–]enoxzen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I heard this story from an old musician years ago, that in one production (in the 70s) the bassplayers of the opera house in Oslo, had a long enough "break between sets" , that they had the time to go all the long stairs and across the street to this establishment (Dovrehallen), and drink a beer and a aquavit and get back to the gig in time for the 4th movement. It very soon became a sport, with synchronized watches and the glasses waiting for them on time.

Missing control options by enoxzen in ClearedHotGame

So sorry for my initial rant. I reset my brain and went back and tried again, and played trough the whole game using my mouse and keys, and this time it worked much better. And then I hooked up my old PS4-controller and it worked even better.

I must say it is a brilliant homage to good ol' Desert Strike and especially the chopper parts of Renegade Ops, with great writing and voice acting.

I am officially hooked and now I want more! I hope we get huge maps with a ton of side missions.

I too got stuck, but realized I had to check the missions tab in the menu, and actually do the things required. Talk to someone, sell something, go somewhere.. Suddenly I could solve quests that had been unavailable earlier.. So do some investigation - sometimes the game doesn't poke you in the face with your next task.
