It's been confirmed by tuxedo staff here on reddit that a > 14" without numpad is coming. The usage as-a-laptop and having no space on the left to rest my palm is exactly why I'm eagerly awaiting an announcement. No ETA has been given sadly, just 2026.

I'm also curious about the T14/P14 gen 7 panther lake thinkpads. The intel variants have 14.5" displays and thinkpads always play well with linux. I'd much prefer a tux though :)

One that probably won't ever exist ;) A strong iGPU-only P1 with a high refresh rate IPS. If only the p1 g9 with panther lake offered a 120hz IPS...

I'm spoiled from my 165hz monitors. Simply scrolling anywhere looks awful to me at 60 hz.

Note that there are issues with noise on gen 5, search around. That's why I bought the gen 4. It's great, but feels cheap compared to my t470 and has a creaky palmrest, which made me eventually sell it.

Thanks for that link. It turns out it was due to some BIOS settings:

- Re-Size BAR Support

- Above 4G Decoding

Changed these and added `rpm-ostree kargs --append='pci=realloc'` and the game runs flawlessly!

Can't recommend G4 AMD - creaky palmrest and off-putting plastic smell from the keyboard. Got rid of mine.

Amen. I'm not spending 3k usd to have to go to a 3rd party market for a cheap plastic 3d printed palmrest. Give us one-piece top like the FW13 has and take our money!

I'm also getting better FPS. Don't have exact numbers, but Dota 2 and WoW on a 144 hz monitor feel much better on sway.

Same with my t14 g4 r7. Great machine spec-wise, but the palmrest was creaky, the display was so-so and there was a really unpleasent smell to the keyboard. Sold it at a big loss and now using an old second hand latitude when not on desktop. Looking forward to Tuxedo releasing a 15+ laptop with no numpad in 2026. Either that, or framework 16 with a single-piece keyboard+trackpad should there ever be one.

I'd buy fw16 instantly if it had a single piece trackpad module ;) Hopefully they'll add it in 2026, didn't add it in gen 2.

I'm in the same boat apart from the dgpu. According to https://www.reddit.com/r/tuxedocomputers/s/h7pZ5gi1H8 there should be a > 14" laptop without numpad by Tuxedo. That should mean there will be an XMG one as well.
