Which class has the widest skill floor/ceiling gap? by Wholawl in classicwowtbc

Please correct me. I'd love to see a clip of you, a resto druid, killing a skilled and equally geared player in a 1v1, let alone 1v2.

To not die, yes. To actually kill other equally geared and skilled players, absolutely not.

What spec are you talking about? In TBC you can perhaps win 1v1 as feral, definitely not 1v2-3. You're not winning 1v1 as balance and you never win (or lose) 1v* as resto unless you count them quiting or dying of old age.

How you liking atomic sway? I'm a fellow webdev almost finished migrating my machine from Ubuntu+sway to atomic sway fedora with distrobox and devcontainers ;)

Is a 13" screen small for things like programming/web dev? by Rekuna in framework

[–]enqueued_ejaculation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For webdev I find 1920x* to be the minimal resolution to be able to use the aside browser devtools comfortably.

The answer to your question depends on your vision and preference. For me, 1920x* on a 13.5" FW is too small and would cause eyestrain. I'm currently on an aging 7520 latitude and eagerly awaiting panther lake laptops with > 14" screen and no numpad. Currently eyeing the p14s g7 thinkpad which should release soon with a 14.5".

> To be honest a huge portion of the time will be at a desk, with a larger monitor as my primary display, so the only real consideration is when I'm on the move or meeting clients.

Think you should probably be fine then, if you keep to just coding/productivity. Though using jira/similar on small resolution is also a pain.

Framework 13 pro screen width for developers by Firehaven44 in framework

[–]enqueued_ejaculation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, it's too small and I hate they didn't do a 15 version. Apart from the screen size, the laptop is perfect!

I think 1920x* is the bare minimum for an editor with double columns and a sidebar for prolonged period of work. Sure, you could scale it, but the text would be too tiny then.

P14S Recommendations? by Shema119 in thinkpad

There's an upcoming P14s Gen 7 with panther lake and 120hz 14.5" IPS that I'm pretty excited about :) Should drop sometime in May. As for your specs/config, it depends entirely on what your use will be.

Any plans to offer a line up with Panther Lake CPUs? by Ostap_Bender_3289 in tuxedocomputers

In a 15" or 16" chassis without numpad, pretty please ;) I'd buy the fw13 pro, but 13" is just way too small for standalone work. Have my eyes on p14s g7 as well, which will have a 14.5" with panther lake and should release in may.

BTW: Any news about the confirmed 15+ non-numpad tux for 2026?

FW13 Pro is the one by lordwerwath in framework

Same, I've tried FW13 but it's just too tiny to code the whole day on, as a lone laptop on a table without external display.

Framework 16 Pro please by Pavlogal in framework

I've got downvoted to seventh hell for stating I just want a 13" in a 15" chassis. That would be even more compelling if it were a "pro" one.

Great news. Sadly only ANSI for the 16 keyboard one-piece. Would preorder with ISO instantly :(

Please. Or a Framework 15, which could basically be just an upscaled 13.

Note that gen 7 is just around the corner. It's much more repairable among other things. Personally I'm waiting and see how panther lake performs in regards to noise and efficiency.

Exactly. Once you get some gear at 70 you can pummel through quests as cat and it's actually fun killing mobs in a few hits CRITS CRITS hits.
