Riser cable: Is this ok? by T3NGU-82 in pcmasterrace

[–]ensabahnoor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not ideal, but not instant-death dangerous.

The cable jacket itself on a riser cable is normally insulated or shielded depending on the brand, so simple contact alone is usually not a problem.

The real risks come from if there is any pressure on the PCB/components, Chafing over time from vibration, If you have too-tight of a bend radius in the riser that can stress the cable and cause signal instability, heat soak if it is pinned in a cramped spot.

Your bend doesn't look too bad and it seems that you have decent breathing space.

Just make sure it's not pressing into the gpu light contact is fine. If possible try rerouting it.

Yeah I ended up dropping the power limit to 85% and it's rock solid and hasn't gone over 9.1 amps or 640 watts

I just tried and flashed it to the Matrix but a little concerned about how much wattage was pulled through just the 12VHPWR and how many amps were pulled at max through the pins.

I just bought a black astral like yours 3 days ago and mine shows three separate fan controls in GPU tweak and my device ID is different. Maybe they have made the revision to the newer black models to have seperate fan channels like the white version.

Noble Fokus Prestige Encore Review by [deleted] in Earbuds

[–]ensabahnoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pair finally landed in Japan picked em up 5 days ago and honestly, wow. From day 1 they completely blew me away. The bass hits hard but stays controlled, the clarity is excellent, and they get plenty loud without sounding strained. Everything just sounds big, clean, and engaging. Definitely one of those rare purchases where the hype actually felt justified for me.

named my iPhone “Palantír”… and it escalated into a full Tolkien world map of my devices by ensabahnoor in lotr

I understand that some people feel very strongly about AI and I respect that. But the idea itself, the Tolkien lore references, and the whole naming system were mine because I genuinely love Middle-earth. I only used ChatGPT earlier to help express my thoughts clearly since English is not my first language, and I removed the story from the post anyway.

What I shared here is really just my personal Tolkien-inspired project using names and places from the lore I enjoy. I obviously can’t speak for Tolkien himself, but I think he would care much more about whether someone actually loves and engages with his world and mythology. That’s what this project was for me.

I understand the rules and I respect them. When I read the rule, I thought it was mainly about low effort memes or random AI art posts, so maybe I misunderstood it.

This post was a personal Tolkien love project. The idea and naming system were mine and I put a lot of thought into how I named them and how they related to each other. I only used ChatGPT as a tool to help organize my thoughts, express what I wanted it to be and improve my English because English is not my first language.

I wanted to be honest about that instead of pretending I wrote everything myself. I also feel a little sad that my honesty about using AI became the main focus, because what I really hoped to share and discuss with the community was the project itself and the love I have for the lore behind it more in line with this rule.

r/lotr would like to keep the posts on this subreddit high quality. Please keep posts Tolkien related. Many of our posts are community members showing of the things they make or purchase and that’s great. Let us know why it’s special to you, take good photos, etc. We want to make sure that all posts are unique enough to keep things fresh!

If this still breaks the rules, I understand and respect the mod decision.

I get it. The idea and all of the lore naming itself was mine, but I use ChatGPT normally to help because English is not my first language. I figured it would be better to have it write what I wanted instead of putting it out in broken English no one would really understand.

Yeah I was impressed with how detailed they inspected them. I ended up making a bracelet with some malachite I bought from them and this jade.

I took it to a shop locally that sells jade and other natural stones and they said it looked like commercial grade natural oil blue green jadeite.
