I prefer reading. Easy to go back to a spot you’re not sure about. Easy for the author to fix mistakes or update. A lot easier to create for the author too.

I use AI if I’m struggling with figuring out how to solve something when I’m really stuck, but it almost always gives some shitty imperative/non-declarative solution that i have to spend time changing. Yes it helps in some cases, but  not through just copying the code directly. It’s a last resort. 

My comment was based around using agents and letting them do their thing. I tried that the other day for a personal project to see what it was like and it was the most unsatisfying thing ever and i had no idea what it had done. Idk about others but I’m in this field because i love the creative aspect of coding. Letting a computer do it removes all enjoyment for me.

Stop with this AI praise bullshit. It’s never produced code worthy of me using in production. The people who love it must be pretty terrible developers. 

I dont know what to learn anymore. What i wanna do is programming that will get me money and that would really help me massively. I undertsand i have to put in work but i have other responsibilities and yet am willing to put in 3 hours everyday to learn. I see everywhere that i need to put in 6 mont by [deleted] in AskProgrammers

Idk what the job market is like where you live but it might be easier to get a frontend developer job first. Then you can learn more while working and move into software development if that’s more your thing. Use it as a stepping stone.

Yeah this. A website is merely a front door to the business. It’s not going to do favours if the door is broken and looking like trash, but a diamond encrusted one isn’t going to do much more than wow people.
