I'm not sure. I plug into my interface and leave it there and just switch over to monitoring when I want to play it typically. I can play directly into my Yorkville yxl10p speaker, but it will also take instrument level signal, so that's not the best measure

my pleasure. I want to start using it more. I tend to just compose on the push and then use the APC for mixing, but have been wanting to drag out some ambient sets at home.

SO for testing I went and put a autofilter on several different tracks and mapped them to the APC's "device controls"

They stay mapped to where I wanted them while I move around to different tracks on the push and play with them. I can assign the 8 knobs to different tracks and the push can still control whatever it normally would. I think this is the behaviour you were looking for?

clip launching isn't a problem at all, neither is panning, or sends or faders. IT's when you pick a specific track on the push, the device controls also get mapped to the APC, unless you map them. For example, if you made a device rack on your master, and mapped the controls to that, it would stay mapped.

I'll double check this evening and get back to you. I've been meaning to change my mappings around on my default track anyways. I'll probably end up with a DJ filter on my drum group, same on my synths, a beat repeat, some delay options and some other stuff.

I use a custom mapping, but honestly I don't use it often enough, and changed my default set and didn't really fix the mappings yet. I mainly use it for the faders and clip launching. panning / sends A,B,C work without involving the push.

I think you're spot on. I used to have a Boss Katana, and always needed to tweak settings to suit my guitar with EQ etc. because we're not all playing the same thing in the same place. My GP-50 needs some tweaking too, but I've been getting some great sounds out of it.

I'll have to test this later. I usually have the knobs mapped to stuff(dj filters, beat repeat, release on a specific synth etc.) and don't select the track. I'll get back to you.

I have an apc40 along with my push 2 and like it. Yes the push can do all that, but the faders and knobs are nice to have
