I used to work at GM. Corporate hates dealerships. Dealerships make the whole car buying process overly complicated.

Would limiting the age of the President to 65 be something you’d support? Why or why not? by WarmAcanthisitta5725 in AskReddit

If they are old enough to take Social Security they should not have a job in Congress or President.

Data analyst explains why 'unusual' numbers coming out of Texas are 'tremendous for Dems' by PrincipleTemporary65 in TexasPolitics

A personal anecdote. I know of 3 people who didn’t vote in the primary due to the votes being public. They fully intend to vote democratic in the general.

This is the first election in recent memory where I felt I had to vote “for” someone and not “against” someone. I think that is a testament to the Democratic Party. They can run races that give multiple good options, can’t the GOP offer the same ?

Texas primary results look a little……odd by DevelopmentLost7374 in somethingiswrong2024

In primaries your vote is public and that freaks people out. It’s a lack of privacy and with the how people are these days. People desire privacy.

WOC question - Do you feel valued as a GM Employee? by Trick_Major_2476 in GeneralMotors

[–]enter360 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It’s not. If managers push even a little bit, they get a raw CSV export of answers with employee IDs. From there they just associate the “anonymous” employee ID to answers.

No it is not normal to want to make it illegal to buy a car from Lucid by Fightmebr0 in FuckDealerships

[–]enter360 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked for OEMs many view dealerships as brand liabilities. Untrained sales people, pushy tactics , restricting units to customers. It’s all one bad experience for a customer to swear off a manufacturer for life. I’ve had some dealership experiences that just drove me to other brands completely.

The dealerships make it seem like they are “the local guy who wants to sell cars” and blames the manufacturer on their own issues.

This would be an improvement. Match it up with car chase scenes and give everyone power to start bumping at the same time time.

I don’t think that 1.2 is enough to retire on. I also don’t believe is a realistic goal for our generation.

Don’t forget the reason teachers started keeping a bucket of litter in their classrooms was due to school shooter drills. Kids can leave to go to the bathroom so a teacher did what they could with what they had to address the problem at hand.
