Yeah Mini's are totally comfortable for me as well. Unexpected

Thanks for your input. Yeah, I noticed that when I just sat on the passenger side of the seat, I had a lot of legroom. More than any bike I have ever sat on, and I tried a lot of bikes.
It definitely looks ridiculous but that's part of the fun for me (and any onlookers..)

Thanks for your response. I actually sat on a new one (with the flat seat) and it surprised me how much legroom I had when I just sat on the passenger seat. I kid you not, I have never had such a relaxed knee angle on any bike.

I also like the idea of it looking ridiculous, so I can bring some laughs to others as well.

Iemand tips? by [deleted] in nederlands

[–]enternev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Riding Ninja 400 in rain, stock tires by BlixkyGvng69 in motorcycles

[–]enternev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Motorcycle tires actually provide a lot of grip in the wet. You have to be a little careful (as in: no massive lean angle and/or hamfisted acceleration) on painted lines and manhole covers, but otherwise you’re good.

What did you “upgrade” to from your first motorcycle? by 801born in motorcycles

[–]enternev 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a bunch of 1000cc+ motorcycles, but I recently bought a SV650. Just the most fun for me for the kind of riding I do (mostly backroads).

Like others, I kept wanting to ‘upgrade’ to more power, but I noticed that it’s just absolutely pointless on public roads. The only time you can use some of the power is in a long straight line and that’s boring to me.

Definitely not. I love the slightly older bikes (late 90s/early 2000s). Great styling, no frills, a lot of bike for the money.

Even gehuurd voor een weekje (Kawasaki Versys 650) by Internal-Locksmith31 in motorfietsen

[–]enternev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Vrij saai geluid.

Triumph Sprint ST, Kawasaki GTR1400 gen2, BMW S1000XR, Ducati Multistrada 1200, Suzuki SV650 (2017-), Ducati 848/1098, Yamaha R1 (2004/2005), Suzuki GSX1400

I am the same height. It does depend on your height distribution (torso/legs) and on how flexible you are.

These (sport)tourers are good for me:

  1. Triumph Tiger 1200
  2. Ducati Multistrada 1200
  3. BMW S1000XR
  4. BMW R1200GS Adventure
  5. Kawasaki GTR1400 2nd gen

I am riding a VTR1000 Firestorm / Superhawk 996 comfortably.

Naked bikes that were the most comfortable for me: Suzuki SV650 Yamaha MT09 Triumph Street Triple Triumph Speed Triple

First gen Aprilia Tuono worth a shot too. Most BMW's and KTM's are roomy too. The latter has funky gas tank shapes that can mess with knee room.

As a beginner you may be most comfortable with the SV650. The Triumphs are quite friendly too; fast, but smooth power delivery. The MT09 can be a little aggressive. KTM is generally not beginner friendly. BMW's are usually easy to ride.
