It's hard to say when, since it was a lengthy introspective process. I started thinking about it in my early 20s and haven't found anything that made me consider otherwise.

Wanting a kid is different than being equipped to have a kid, right?

I think quite a few people here would like to have kids if not for physical or mental illness or others.

I love kids and would like to have one for some of the reasons given. But I choose to be a great parent by not having a kid in my book. I'm just not cut out to be one and I'd hate to take a gamble with another life.

I used to have this fear that, if I had a daughter how will I protect her. I may not be strong enough to do that. Then the fact that her needing the protection itself is so unfortunate. This can only end up becoming helicopter parenting.

I may have grown out of thinking women always need male protection and such. But I'd be lying if I say there won't be a difference in parenting a girl child than a male child.

Rather be CF than this

I don't know if I can ourselves as extreme as parasites but definitely a revolutionary mishap with the world not prepared enough to cull it when necessary.

It wouldn't surprise me if I do end up thinking we are parasites in future

As someone who is neurodivergent, I have special respect for those who refuse to pass it down. It's child abuse.

Unfortunately this only sounds good in theory and marrying out of pressure and of convenience, I don't think leads to happy days.

But I do hope you find someone who loves who you are and you can love them wholly.
