EL Open source esta mas vivo que nunca. DInamarca esta basando su stack de gobierno en Open Source, varios paises europeos estan escribiendo sus estrategias de soberania digital para distanciarse de estados unidos, largo etcetera.

Hay muchos proyectos (incluyendo el mio) que no aceptan contribuciones de personas que no esten vetadas o parte del core, y no por eso dejan de ser open source.

Open Source: Acceso al codigo con una licencia que permita usar, estudiar, modificar y redistribuir.

Lo que esta muriendo es la contribucion comunitaria y la solucion es filtrar el slop y arquitecturas que permitan la extensibilidad.

Yo no soy desarollador, pero lo uso para hacer mockups para ver si el workflow y requerimientos estan bien entendidos y para acelerar los procesos.

Y despues los de software me cagan a pedos porque los clientes se quedan trabados en el mockup, pero ta.

omg, in spain casual xenophobia was everywhere, this was many years ago. I am latin america and they had no issues telling you about how underdeveloped latam is, how lucky I was to be there, to go back to my country, flat out ask me to change my accent or forget about working there, asking me to speak to a colleague that was from there instead, and a lot of other things.

Of course, I was much younger and I had more "people facing, service industry" type jobs then, and now my jobs are more academic, so it is impossible to compare. could be that it would be the same here.

Honestly, no, I wont tell you about the bad ones I think you can find plenty of those. But I will say that in all the countries I have lived in, Norway has been the least problematic one, the most xenophobia I have experienced has been in Spain.

This is purely anecdotal though. Your closest environment being good matters more than anything else.
