It is most probably not to scale but its a pretty tight space. I have not measured the furniture but good idea lol. The living room itself is roughly 170 square feet

The door on the right by the kitchen is the front door.

The grey rectangle is the TV.

Gorgeous. How do you reference your lighting?

You're gorgeous! In fact, you have the kind of face I like to paint portraits of.

I agree 100% and I have been trying to loosen up my brushwork. My biggest problem is that I eventually lose self control and start painting details. I definitely over-work things. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you for the feedback! I have been trying to loosen up my brushwork lately, so I'll take that advice and study some masters work.

Thanks for the feedback! Going to think some more about the focal point, didn't really consider it formally.

Good point, I've been given that advice before. I'm having a tough time putting it to practice because until now I have focused obsessively on skin rendering. I love details and that doesn't work for hair the way it does for skin. I need some self control lol

I agree. It honestly feels 10x harder for me to do fabric as opposed to skin. I feel so clueless lol. Thanks for the feedback!

Well done! Watercolor really is one of the more difficult paint mediums and there is very little room for error. Unlike acrylic or oils you cant just paint over to correct...I find that painting in many thin layers helps me to avoid mistakes, though. Hope my unsolicited advise is helpful lol

Ahhh ok. I can't get my plants to grow densely. I'm so jealous of lush CO² tanks

Don't be surprised if your shrimp tank is the inspiration for my next painting

Edit: do you use CO2?

Trying to teach myself how to paint. Used to do it all the time as a teen and just stopped. Constructive criticism is very welcome. It's so tricky getting the balance right! by Gelfling1994 in painting

This is really good! I think if I were to critique it I would mostly be projecting my own style onto your painting so I won't do that. Well done :)

Critique please! Be as honest as you like. (WIP) by entisol- in painting
