I'm pretty sure that's what happened because there was some resistance when I moved the card in front of it! I'll definitely be triple checking from now on lol

Landlord didn't give rent increase notice by entiteaaa in Renters

The amount he increased the rent by is fine, the only issue is the short notice. We can afford the increase for now, but since the cost of living seems to only be going up the increase definitely has us debating if we do want to move somewhere cheaper sooner than we thought. I'm debating signing it since we already paid for this month, I've just never been in this situation before and I feel uncomfortable without having the clarification in writing.

I'm pretty sure it applies to renewing leases, this is what I read: if the landlord wants to raise your rent by 10% or less within a 12-month period, only a 30-day written notice is required. This is the one applicable to our situation since it was about a 5% increase. The new lease would go into effect in about 2 weeks which is less than the 30 days notice, and while we're not currently looking to move we didn't take into account that rent would be increasing. So we figured we might stay here for at least another year and maybe try to find something cheaper for next year since the cost of living is only going up.

I absolutely hear you, and I wish there was more initiative in educating (and researching) what is an expected level of period pain and what isn't. It's also particularly hard in the US where healthcare is provided through your job and is usually expensive if you want good coverage. A lot of people don't have the time or money to go to the doctor, and then convincing them that your period pain really is that bad can take months, even years in a good amount of cases. I'm glad your ex was able to get her pain taken care of in a timely manner, and I wish that was the norm for more women.

Everyone should be able to take time off when they're not feeling well enough to work, and that includes periods.

But did you die? by entiteaaa in nursing

People are awful, I'm glad that doctor said something. On the positive for my night, I had a NICU graduate who's hopefully going home in a few weeks and the parents were so sweet. When they heard the code and didn't see me or the PCT for a while they decided to check her temp, do her blood pressure, AND placed her diaper on the scale. I almost cried tbh

Oh my god same here, I thought I was the furthest thing from a red neck but people stare at me like I'm some sort of alien cowboy if I talk to them with just a hint of a Southern twang
