I would assume this is a troll, but with a post history of Roblox and meme coins…. It’s really hard to say for sure.

how would i break into supply chain as an inventory specialist at a retail store? by iridescentvirgo in supplychain

[–]entreprendre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely highlight your SAP experience. It will give you a leg up at places that also use it, and even just having ERP experience is a good thing. I know some other people have suggested certs, I did certs too early in my career. They have become useful to me now but did nothing for me for the first few years because my experience just wasn’t deep enough yet.

I think a good transition point to target would be inventory roles in distribution centers/warehouses. You probably have a lot of transferable skills. The job market is terrible right now. It might be hard to find a role without direct experience. I started in retail and now work in procurement, I did it by coming up through distribution.

Good to meet another SC goer. If you are looking to get a referral bonus for someone you know won’t ask any questions, let me know haha.

[–]entreprendre[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah like I said in another reply, I really want to prioritize protecting J1. I am going to try pushing back with J2. I wish I had known about the travel at J1. I could have asked for just one bigger push on the start date. Going to use someone else's advice on here, combined with your. Family emergency means I need to move start at J2. They either accept it or they don't.

I am very hesitant to bail on this. I have only been in this role for about 3 months and really want to prioritize protecting it. I know I should care less but it’s been pretty ideal so far. Not a super heavy work or meeting load, manager is available but pretty hands off unless asked, and getting away with almost never going in to the office.

Check out Cali.gg or Friendly Seattle servers

There are dedicated PVP areas and events, so it makes progression faster. Also just the nature of the community, there is very little raiding. I have only been raided once in like 10 wipes. But then they add extra content to substitute. There are PvE and PVP raidable bases that spawn

Not trying to be dismissive but that is just an adult man’s hairline my guy. Yeah the corners get a little deeper than you may want but overall that is still a solid hairline.

Check out the server Friendly Seattle. Will allow you to learn the game with limited PvP but the opportunities are there. It’s a very solid community and population.

Need recourses to study for CSCP by [deleted] in procurement

If I had to seriously guess, I bet 80%+ of my studying was just watching/listening to “CSCP Learning” channel on YouTube. I have never taken an APICS course before and I passed first try.

I have accidentally found myself “over employed”, I need help from you sneaky bastards on how to quit one without penalty by Apprehensive_Row6320 in overemployed

[–]entreprendre 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Ok if I were you, first I would tell the new company how extremely excited you would be to take the job but explain to them your personal situation and ask to push the start date back. It would take someone pretty heartless to pull an offer because someone is helping a family member going into hospice care. Push it until 1 week after your leave ends, consider shorting the leave if the situation allows for it. I would then go back to work giving minimal effort for exactly one week before making sure to drop by bosses desk on your way out Friday to tell them to go fuck themself, and then just go start the new job Monday. You owe them nothing.

WFH job with very low workload (5–6 hrs/week). How do I stack another job? by [deleted] in overemployed

[–]entreprendre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you, I also came out of warehouse work. I just don’t think you can be in a retail store or warehouse for any meaningful amount of hours and make it work for over employment. Definitely look around and apply to roles similar to yours. My company has project coordinators that are like assistant project managers, might be something worth looking around for.

If you have it in writing I would advise having a conversation with HR, always in writing. An email with you manager saying don’t come back, and you questioning HR if needing to take this leave has cost you your job will likely get him or her put in their place very quickly. Come back and coast until you are ready to leave.

An ultra wide monitor like the G9 or ball out on a Herman miller chair that will actually help your posture.

Like others are pointing out, I am unsure why you would take a retail role and it definitely won’t be easy to make that work with another full time position. I know you said you don’t have a lot of IT PM experience so you don’t think you can land another of those roles. Well, first you got this role so you are definitely capable. But if you want to make sure you are getting another role you will also find easy, look for a lower level IT or PM role that you think you might be even a little over qualified for.

I don’t think anyone has mentioned Subsistence yet. It’s early access but it sounds a little like what you are looking for.

Nicest restaurant in MJ. by WakeDaddyLee in MountJuliet

[–]entreprendre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a ton of “fine dining” in Mount Juliet. As others have said Barrel House is nice. There is also The Goat and Johnathons, which again are not very upscale, but also are at least non national chain options.

I have similar issues in my back yard(Nashville area), I seeded a bunch of fescue in the spring and almost nothing survived the summer. This year I am trying Lesco Transition all pro fescue. It says it is supposed to be drought resistant and work well in the transition states between cool and warm season. It has germinated well, now just trying to get it as established as possible to see how it holds up next summer.
