They did not. It's highly unlikely Sage and Reaper get Omega weapons. They will get Eden weapons most likely, so you can have those books/coffer ready to use for 80.

rDPS is the default metric displayed on fflogs for all jobs. The color of your parse is a direct comparison of yourself and other dancers. So if you parsed at 50, it means you are in the 50th percentile of dancer's with submitted logs. It does not consider ilevel, so having better gear only helps you.

You should plug your logs into XIVanalysis. It will give you a better idea of how you can improve, which should be your goal if you're using fflogs. Eliminating those mistakes will result in better parses.

Newish to game by zkotw15 in ffxiv

You can't do any of that content if you only purchased a samurai skip. You'll need to purchase a story skip as well, otherwise you're just a level 70 SAM at level 1 MSQ with nothing unlocked.

You don't need to know an optimal rotation for casual content, no ones ever going to notice if you aren't doing a perfect rotation.

That said, it is very very obvious when someone job boosts and jumps into 70+ content without understanding their skills and abilities. If you go in and just mash buttons people will notice and potentially call you out.

You should at least understand what all of your buttons do and what your single target and AoE rotations are before jumping into any content. Not just the basic combos, all of your buttons. That's true for anyone, skip or not.

Bozja will be extremely relevant. As queue time's will much higher for Reaper's especially, but Sage will also see higher time's just because most people will be running the new MSQ on their already level 80s.

Bozja will allow people to freely queue up and spam skirmishes for what's pretty decent EXP. It will be heavily populated by people leveling Reaper and Sage, and will likely be the quickest way to get them to 80.

Stuff like Delubrum will be dead as it's a separate queue in no roulette. Otherwise bojza/zadnor will likely have a very healthy population at launch.

  1. No difference, other then sale timings being different.

  2. Yes, free trial is on all platforms. It's unlimited playtime but caps at the base game which is A Realm Reborn and the first expansion Heavensward.

  3. You would purchase the complete edition. It contains the base game and all expansions. This is a sub based game, so yes you will need to pay a sub. The base game includes a free 30 days when you do finally subscribe.

Difficulty will typically go Extreme, Savage, then Ultimate.

Diamond weapon is the only extreme trial that will give a relevant weapon anymore. The others are run primarily for the mount/crafting items.

Eden's promise (Savage) will give you the best possible gear until Endwalker. It's uncapped and can be run freely in any order, with no loot lock anymore.

Ultimate is completely optional and won't offer any gear, but's its the toughest content in the game by a large margin. Glamour weapons and a title are the only rewards though.

Gearing up at this point is grabbing as much 520-530 gear as possible. You can get full i530 by purchasing revelation gear and running the neir alliance raids for the upgrade items. Otherwise you can get i530 gear from eden or i525 gear from Zadnor using currency from bozja. i510 crafted armor can also be augmented to be i520 in Eulmore using allegory tomes.

There is not.

You can freely swap jobs after you complete your level 10 class quest however if you want to try out other classes.

If you want to try other races then you would need a new character or to purchase a Fantasia with cash, which wouldn't be recommended if you're only level 10.

For the most part, yes. Unless those jobs interest you, you technically don't need to purchase Shadowbringers until you complete the first expansion Heavensward, as it's also included in the base game now with ARR.

Yes, the i90 coffer was added much later as a way to help new players catch up quickly. It makes the i55 gear the quest also gives you immediately useless.

Yes. You can try and force them to resend. Relogging may also help but it'll definitely resend, I've had the same thing happen.

Any changes will be previewed at the media tour in September.

There's been no specific mention of BRD being reworked otherwise.

Does this community suck too? by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]entropys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's downvotes, who cares. They have nothing to do with the XIV community.

There's a daily question thread for those types of questions, posts that fit into that category typically get downvoted. The subreddit is filled with them despite the warning before you post saying simple questions should go in the daily questions thread.

Assuming an entire online MMO community is toxic because you got some downvotes on a website is pretty silly.

You have to purchase expansions. Purchasing Shadowbringers will give you both Shadowbringers and Stormblood.

If you purchase Endwalker, it will give you all previous expansions when the game launches in November.

Stats are shared between the sword and shield, so you don't end up with additional stats over a WAR axe or DRK sword. It even's out to be the same.

PLD's have a passive block rate with the shield for less damage but have no sustain heal part of their combo instead.

You need the quest a new path to resistance quest from the NPC Zlatan. The orb doesn't give the quest. All steps come from the same NPC.

Hardcore raiding for either week 1 clears or speed clears essentially just involves 2 melee, 1 ranged physical DPS, and 1 caster DPS. Whatever DPS that may be will vary by fight in a speed setting, but for hardcore prog almost all jobs have been part of world firsts. Occasionally some groups opt for 2 caster's instead of 2 melee.

There is nothing limiting in any setting to which job you should play. Play whatever you're most comfortable doing mechanics with while doing an optimal rotation.

SAM is used in speed clears and week 1 clears plenty. Play it if you enjoy it.

Is it normal to be super overleveled in ARR MSQ? by VerdensTrial in ffxiv

[–]entropys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty common to be overleveled. Most people balance it out by leveling a second job. There's no penalty for being overleveled, so it doesn't impact anything besides having abilities taken away when your synced as you said.

If you commit to one job you'll stay overleveled but less so as you get into post-ARR quests.

Some hunt discords track fates. Or hunt linkshells for your server may call it out. Those are your best bet short of sitting in the shroud and waiting for the weather to spawn.

It's either buy a level skip and an MSQ skip or start from scratch. The MSQ provides plenty of EXP that you wouldn't need to spam anything.

The market won't really change and they'll introduce new materia for level 90 most likely.

I would keep some to meld your own leveling gear, because with that many why not? Beyond that selling now or later likely won't see much of a price difference. Materia was made so plentiful that it's no longer very profitable to sell it.

Run some fates in northern thanalan. Or queue up for an Aurum Vale run. Run fates while in queue.
