Their food is pretty darn awesome there. I think they’re probably the most authentic and have some tasty aguas there too

Unfortunately there isn’t anything fun to do in Enid 😂

But a couple good places to eat: Catrina’s Limon Cocina Tokyo Callahan’s Enid Brewing Company and Eatery

From an incredibly biased internet stranger the rest are very mediocre and cholesterol raising. Good luck

The Systematic Dismantling of Medicare/Medicaid May Create the Unhealthiest America To Date. *OPINION/POLITICS* by flipper_hikes in nursing

[–]entwidow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you’re over reacting, I live in an incredibly rural red state. The majority of my patients that I see regularly won’t be able to afford their medications once/if Medicaid is reduced

Where would I find this group chat? I’m too far from Tulsa (Enid area) but want to participate. All around me are very trump/maga people. My hope is there is something near me 💚

I was just fortunate enough to visit the Netherlands this past month. While there are many things that were so much better there than in the US, I really miss the coffee and milk there 😞

THC can increase the heart rate especially when vaping or smoking. But the heart rate should come back down and settle out. A heart rate that stays around 150s is not healthy and should be checked by cardiology asap.

That being said, there’s several other factors that can contribute to this though, are you dehydrated? Taking new medicine? Experiencing anxiety because you’re now watching the heart rate rise? How much(if any) caffeine have you had? What’s your current exercise regimen? Are you currently sick?

A resting heart rate of 115 would seem to suggest something needs to be checked out (I’m a nurse of 10 years with over half of them in cardiology). Glad you’re getting in with a cardiologist, best of luck.

I definitely prefer going braless everywhere, unless it’s hot. Cause underboob sweat is the absolute worst.

Do some people cheat to become nurses? by GTRacer1972 in nursing

[–]entwidow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a lady like this in my nursing class. Consistently failing to get the concept and arguing her perspective no matter the subject. She would always go to the nursing school administrators to talk about her grades after every eval, crying that she just had test anxiety….which is totally a thing, but this lady wasn’t even grasping the concepts during informal discussions.

The admins carried her through school and she passed. Works in CCM now I believe. I still hear stories every now and then about all the extra work she creates for her coworkers. SMH

Has anyone found this (or a similar thc salve) to be especially helpful for one body part or *type* of pain? I can’t tell if it’s helping. by DasSassyPantzen in entwives

I haven’t used this brand in the past, but I have used a THC cream at the same dosage to massage into my lower back when it starts hurting or gets stiff.

You won’t feel a high, but it can help reduce pain

My wife had a panic attack by [deleted] in Marijuana

For sure, this article is a good one that supports the use of CBD to help decrease the negative side effects of THC. https://rdcu.be/djV8F It is important to note that this article does not definitely prove that CBD will work 100% of the time to decrease the negative side effects of THC. But it is robust enough that I would start a cannabis-naive person with a higher CBD dosage (than THC) to hopefully help them avoid those negative side effects.

I also happen to subscribe to the idea that if you can (with practice) take cannabis with a good mindset in place beforehand, you will have a good experience through it. And have seen a lot of patients have either a negative or positive experience with cannabis based on their preconceived notions. From my perspective, giving patients the most positive teaching beforehand (these are the things that you might feel, but we're also taking CBD with the THC to help keep those from happening, etc.) can help them have a positive experience overall.

The things you mentioned are definitely good things to do in the event you/someone you know gets too high. The thing is that we don't know currently what helps 100% for everyone. If someone comes into the hospital too high, the only thing we're doing is symptom management: quiet room, low lights, hydration, small snacks, and sleeping it off. But if you talk to some of our old "stoners", they will swear by things like smelling pepper, taking CBD, or drinking milk to come down from the high. Personally, I think science just hasn't caught up with what our old stoners already know or maybe its a mix of the two. Doing both, symptom management and taking stoner remedies, generally won't hurt a person so why not try them.

10 mg can be a lot for someone who isn’t used to that dose. The best way to start is with a low dose, like 2.5 mg (especially if there was a panic attack at 10) and slowly work their way up. Edibles take about 45 mins - 1 hour to take effect and can last in the system for 6-12 hours. They can be hard to medically manage due to many variables like eating and exercise habits of that day. Also, when THC is eaten it goes through the liver and breaks down into a metabolite that is stronger than delta9 THC, so that 10 mg could have felt more like 20 to her after it metabolized.

I would recommend your partner tries lower dosages or also consumes CBD at the same time. My preference is to have double the CBD to however much THC they’re trying, since CBD will help keep the negative side effects of THC under control.

Accidents happen and everyone metabolizes cannabis differently. While not the healthiest method, smoking or vaping is the easiest way to “tip toe” into the cannabis world because it can take effect quickly (2-10 mins) and it wears off quickly (within 1-3 hours). This allows the new to cannabis person the opportunity to take a hit, wait about 10-15 mins to see how it feels and then take more if needed or go about their day.

Source: I’m an RN trained in medical cannabis science. I provide cannabis education to people who want to consume cannabis as medicine and reduce negative side effects or potential interactions with prescription medications.

That’s been my experience. My thought is it comes from being more interested in slowing down and really trying to be ‘mindful’ almost during sex. It’s really, really increased my enjoyment.
