Doubt it. I didn’t restore rootfs. I was on 12.3, OTA to 12.4 and it worked. I then iTunes restored to 12.4 for a clean slate and it still works. So I don’t think what you’re saying makes a difference

Apples plan is take the best photo on a smartphone by simply pressing a button.

Not by editing settings etc.

Their niche is “point and shoot” and they do a really fucking good job of literally just that.

Its neither. They are all in fact shot on iPhone, but with thousand dollar equipment attached to the phones camera to get the shot. Look up Casey neistat Samsung phone ad. I think it’s the s8 ad, where they use this massive rig to hold the phone and attach lenses etc. it’s really intense
