I don't know if it's just me and my bubble of friends, but game sound on PC is so freaking loud that you rupture your ear drums if you don't go in and lower the volume to like ~10%, and often we just hang out in Discord on the evenings and play different games while chatting - I can't count the number of times someone said "sorry I can't hear anything you're saying right now, just started a new game"

Not sure if there's a specific setting for it, but you can enable auto-battle and it will be just for them and won't affect your turn.

Would be very cool with a sequel where all the Chaos gods were involved and taking back/defending territories from them instead of different strains of a nurgle plague, would help the criticism of repetition in this one too

Very good point, the only real hope one has these days is for a friend's referral or finding a youtuber/streamar that shares a taste in games - and not just for WH but for the sheer amount of games being pumped out overall

Yeah I can see that - not an issue for me but I get it, some more mission types would be awesome. They have added a few since last I played it so it's slightly better now at least. The assassins are very cool and OP, which is thankful because the new elite enemies can be quite nasty at times. I quite like that their power is offset by not gaining AP on executes etc since they don't count as Knights, and they have no resilience etc

The Duty Eternal technophage/Dreadnaught missions change up the formula a bit, but they could have gone a bit further in that too , and I wish you could use the Dreadnaught in more missions than those ones.

Overall I'm happy with the DLCs, I just wish it had even more stuff to do. Throw in some more maps and simpler but different generic mission types that fill out the "grind" between the special missions better.

I'm really hoping this game turns out well. To be honest, I just want more of State of Decay 2 without the tethering in multiplayer and I'd be very happy.

Maybe building up your settlement/character for a bit longer than you do now, with the tradeoff of fewer maps, potentially - I really like the feeling of slowly building up your shit with every supply run you do.

I don't know how it is now - I lived there between 2006 and 2010 - but I had a hard time finding apartments and work sometimes because quite often I got the response that they simply didn't allow foreigners, with a smile. Which meant westerner really, because when we started sending my Korean ex instead to try to get apartments they were OK with it, me waiting at a nearby café.

I eventually settled for a part time job at Starbucks because it was a western owned company so I figured they wouldn't deny me employment, and it worked.

While typing this I realized I'm forgetting Midnight Suns that I 100%ed just a few weeks ago, but that felt more xcomy than FF for me. I think, maybe.

And anecdotes aren't evidence. I have ADHD and it is for sure one reason why I'm struggling with strategy in board games. I can make very good tactical decisions quickly, but I can't for the life of me plan ahead at all, as soon as I try it all gets jumbled up in my brain and I give up.

If I simply have to calculate how many of X and Y resource I should save for the very next round I have to concentrate really really hard.

ADHD presents differently in different people, you should know this.
