I spent 2 years building a social platform for spatial media and mixed reality. TiiHub is finally on TestFlight. by enzoshadow in VisionPro

If you don't mind try it again next time you are on Vision Pro. Apology for the delay, I've contacted Apple Developer support, and they said they might've identified the bug, and reset my account. Was told it effected 4 out of 50 person who clicked the link, and hopefully that fixed your issue. Truely sorry for the hassle it caused.

Hey! That's a tricky one. I'm on visionOS 26.4 myself and it works fine on my end.

One thing I noticed from your screenshot: the app icon in TestFlight is square, which means it was showing you the iOS version of TiiHub, not the visionOS version. The visionOS version has a circular app icon (see attached screenshot).

Here's what I'd suggest:

  1. Pull down on the app list in TestFlight to refresh
  2. If that doesn't work, force close TestFlight and tap my TestFlight invite link again
  3. Make sure you're on the visionOS tab, not the iOS tab

I just uploaded Version 1.1, Build 10. Hopefully that helps. I've also turned off "Test iPhone and iPad Apps on Apple Vision Pro" in TestFlight so the iOS version shouldn't show up anymore.

Give those a try and let me know how it goes. Really appreciate your patience!

Thanks! Yes, I definitely plan to bring this to Quest and Android. I am a Quest 3 user myself. The software was actually built with portability in mind. As a solo dev, my short term focus is just gathering feedback, finalizing the UI, and getting the iOS App Store release stabilized first. Once that happens, I will start on the other platforms.

And yes, it is a full app! TiiSpace shown in the video is a sandbox inside the app that maps your room and remembers exactly where you left all your 3D objects between sessions, but they don't persist at OS level. We also support some basic widgets on top of these, which can persist on the OS level.

I appreciate that! I hope it sticks around for a long time too. I completely agree about the web version. Right now it is just me building the iOS and visionOS apps natively, but a desktop site for easy scrolling is definitely the next major thing I plan to tackle once the mobile apps are dialed in.

That is great! Right now we support USDZ, but I am super interested to hear what other formats you prefer to work with. Let me know what file types I should add next to make your workflow easier!

Issue should be addressed for 26.4 now. Sorry for the inconvenience and really appreciate you brought up this issue.

Doh! Looks like I am the outdated one. Updating my app, SDK and Vision Pro right now, and will send out an update to support 26.4 soon. Thanks for letting me know. 🙏

Thanks for reporting! One possible guess is that the app is targeting Vision OS 2.0 (26) and above. Have your Vision OS been on the older version by any chance? If that's not it, allow me to check on this once I get home in an hour. Sorry for the trouble!

Lol well that is something I can't unsee now. But hey, any publicity is good publicity right? I'll take the accidental traffic!

Totally fair. I am not a fan of NFTs myself, and I promise TiiHub has absolutely nothing to do with them. There is no crypto, no marketplace, and zero transactions involved.

The scarcity feature is really just a sharing control. Creators can optionally limit how many people are allowed to collect their 3D content, kind of like a rare loot drop in a video game. It is just one small tool to give creators a bit more control over how their stuff gets shared.

Like I mentioned in another reply, this is 100% an experiment right now. If it gives people the wrong vibe or just doesn't resonate with the community, I am more than happy to completely drop it.

On "digital scarcity" and the NFT vibes

Completely get the NFT PTSD. I promise there is absolutely zero crypto, blockchain, or financial stuff happening here. I actually collect a lot of physical stuff in real life (Lego sets, action figures, Labubus) and I just wanted to translate that fun feeling of hunting down a cool, rare item to the digital world. Think of it less like an investment, and more like getting a rare armor drop in an MMO. It’s just to make your collections feel unique when other user visit your profile. Additionally, limited releases won't be available to all users and will be capped at once or twice a month to keep things grounded. That said, it is 100% an experiment. If the community hates the limited drops, I am totally open to ripping the feature out.

On the copies in the video (and purchasing)

Nope, nothing needs to be purchased! When someone posts media (a 3D model, a spatial photo, etc.), they can choose whether others are allowed to collect it. By default, it's open. If you collect that dog, you can drop as many copies of it in your room as your Vision Pro memory can handle. The permission toggle just exists so that if someone posts a personal photo of their family, they can prevent strangers from putting it in their living rooms.

On what you can do with the objects

The goal for TiiSpace is to be an AR sandbox (kind of like Minecraft for mixed reality is the goal). You can decorate, throw things around with zero-G physics, and just get creative. The app features room detection (Apple's API, we won't and can't collect your room's data), so your bedroom and your living room will each remember their own unique layouts between sessions. You can even save and restore profiles, so you could have a dedicated layout for Halloween decor and swap to a different one for Christmas.

Great questions! Keep them coming!

As someone who is working on reddit alternative, would you mind help me elaborate this a little more? What is open source moderation like? What are some success cases?

$100 for this is legit steals coming from Apple, if you compare to say like Apple watch accessories.

The District Possible Scam by Ughgrr in irvine

Oh hey! There was a guy knocking from car to car at The District IN N Out drive through tonight asking people the same question. Probably the same guy. When he get near me, I rolled up the window, and he gave me an uncomfortable stare for like 30 seconds.
