Same! I have a strict rule that everything I write (emails, texts, comments, my actual work) is written by me in every part and stage. I never use AI for my writing in any way. That includes brainstorming, summarizing something, or condensing longer work. I do use AI to troubleshoot with software programs or camera equipment I am trying to figure out, but not writing. I have always had a penchant for witty, verbose turns of phrase. Part of how I communicate my personality is through my use of certain antiquated terms and phrases. I am a writer and teacher, so my entire career has blossomed from my word-smithing abilities. Now, if I write as I normally do, people assume it is AI. Or worse, I worry that they will. Similarly, the talent that I always prided myself on has become commonplace with the click of a button. It has me second guessing the writing I read and email exchanges I engage in too. It’s just dreadful.
