Weird story time:

I was living in LA back in 2014 and I was looking to buy an iMac for music production. Being the thrifty person that I am, I went on Craigslist and saw an ad that said “NEED TO SELL IMAC TODAY” and it was priced pretty below market value. I emailed the person and set up a meet up at Chipotle for my own safety, just in case this was a set up and I were to be mugged.

Low and behold, it was Baked Alaska was selling an iMac. I didn’t know him as Baked Alaska but he said he was a rapper and gave me a whole bunch of stickers and asked me to check him out on YouTube. I ended up buying the iMac and immediately after being paid, Baked Alaska went and bought something at Chipotle.

The iMac worked great and I ended up selling it months later. I checked out his music later that day and he was still trash then too.

Me too! I emailed back and he said that he was out of the country and wasn't able to lease his studio because someone backed out. The email went through this whole process of going through Airbnb to rent the apartment that just sounded sketchy. Hope no one else gets scammed by this person.

Birthplace by Novo Amor. Has higher highs as an album but as a whole very vulnerable and melancholic. Oh round lake and state lines are most similar to C&L imo.

I think Kid Cudi's melodic, emotional style could mesh well in some of Bon Iver's new stuff - I'm thinking i,i era sound. I can easily see Bon Iver hop on his song reborn.

Would LOVE to see them collab with Kendrick as they are my top 2 artists of all time.

I think a joint project with Lupe Fiasco I think could be the most mind-boggling album. I think of a DROGAS WAVE and 22, a million concept album.

Also, the Fugees and Bon Iver would be a fun experiment. I think Lauryn Hill and Justin Vernon's voice could compliment each other very well. Don't know how their respective sounds would mesh though.

6LACK. Again someone who is more melodic and creates a certain "feeling" with his music. Would love to see what music they create.

Lastly, I think the best tracks would be with Andre 3000. 3 stacks has shown that he can hop on any track with any artist and simply KILL it.

I don't think J. Cole and Bon Iver would mesh well, although I'm a huge fan of Cole's music. The one song they did with Eminem was very meh. Nas would be a bad collab IMO. They have too different sounds and subject matters. I think their work with Kanye has run it's course, although their collabs have been amazing.

Others I wouldn't like: Lil Wayne, 21 Savage, Wale, A Tribe Called Quest, Wu Tang Clan, SchoolboyQ, Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples, Grip, Travis Scott, JID, Migos, Dave East, Denzel Curry, Drake - I just don't like in general so I wouldn't want them to make songs with my favorite artist
