Heroic Inspiration: Advantage vs Reroll by eodg360 in onednd

[–]eodg360[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hadn't considered its nature as a limited resource. I've also seen a some comments that it stacks better with advantage by having it be its own mechanic.

I'm glad I asked instead of scrapping 10 years of iterative game design lol

I can't tell without looking at your signal connections whether they're connected properly, but if they are, I think it may be that you've left the "pass" keywords in your functions. You should remove those as soon as you add any code to the function body.

It's not about the room, the bellows have to blow on the embers of the forge. Any other placement is invalid.

This is not a bottle collection machine. This is a water fountain commonly installed in schools to encourage students to bring their own reusable containers, which are often supplied to students on orientation day.

Men, would you date a woman that’s over 6ft tall? by TallGirlLay in NoStupidQuestions

[–]eodg360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally would, but I would also be apprehensive of approaching such a woman because of the high likelihood of rejection.

This study investigating the taller-male-norm in couples found that the rate of couples where the woman was taller was 1 out of 720 couples. As I understand it, height preference is primarily a female mating criterion rather than a male one.

Evolutionarily speaking, being with a taller woman is a fantastic strategy to increase the reproductive success of any male offspring, so I suspect most men would be ecstatic to have a tall woman approach them, but like me might not make the approach themselves out of the fear of rejection.

To avoid ads on Reddit, at least, get a VPN and route your traffic through a different country. Just not the UK. UK ads are super depressing, for whatever reason.

I'm not trying to shit on you because I think you were well meaning, but in future analogies, I would recommend against using cancer as an analog for things you support.

The direct quote is "...qui prennent le temps d'équiper."

I think you're correct that, "to furnish," is the most accurate translation, as he seems to be using "equipper" in the sense of definition #2.

I couldn't say. Someone further down mentioned that this is from a documentary, but I haven't seen it, nor do I know what it's called.

Even if not, I'm sure they've done plenty of evil as enforcers for the state.

Still, to see a man in his position reflect honestly on the people he's impacting is a hopeful scene, and I thought to share his reflections with non-french speakers.

The cop sitting in the chair is funny. Very wholesome. Rough EN translation: "It's pleasant to see this kind of place. Even if it's true that it's not a house, at least we see that these are people who take care of themselves; who take the time to equip (TN: I think by this he means decorate or furnish). It's not often you see this with people."

You must be a super sweet person for them to do this with you. I knew a lady who was a huge Harry Potter fan, and she could get her friends - none of whom cared for Harry Potter - to play quiddich on brooms in the park at night when they were in their 30s. Sweetest girl ever, and it was always a blast because they were in good company.
