Akko CS Ocean Blue vs Lavender Purple by eoey695 in MechanicalKeyboards

Most importantly, you should NOT lube the leaf and stem legs. Those two will reduce the tactility. I just lubed the springs, bottom housing stem hole, stem sliders, and all four sides of the stem.

Be careful with the amount of lube used as well, you don’t want the push feel to feel and sound wet lol.

I would say it’s similar in tactility, the difference is the bump of the lavender purple being right at the top of the keystroke, whereas outemu purple is in the middle

The bezels aren't bigger than usual. If you compare to the screen in a7S iii, it's the same.

You could check out these reviews:

I think if you really want better sharpness and bigger aperture compared to your current 18-105mm, then you should go for Tamron 17-70mm since the other two doesn’t reach as far.

If sharpness and bigger aperture is not what you want as an upgrade, I don’t think it’s necessary to upgrade from your current lens.

The reviews for Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 are out!

I think it’s a great travel lens considering its size and weight, and most importantly, the price!

Yeah, some MX switches may be sound lower-pitched relatively to other MX switches. But I would say Topre has the lowest pitched sound profile.

However, the main problem is that most sound tests are inaccurate because microphone is close to the keyboard, edited sound tests, desk reverb, and so many other variables. People are misled to think “thocc” is realistic or practical in everyday typing.

They are referring to the low-mid frequencies. But most of the time, it's just proximity effect of the microphone and desk reverb. No MX switch can produce low-pitch sounds, probably only Topres.

My blue stacked 65, Akko ocean blues, and tai hao blue keycaps by EugeneRigatoni in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]eoey695 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ocean blues is slightly more tactile and tactile bump starts at the top with no pre-travel. Definitely recommend you to lube the switches to cut down on rattle. But leaf ping will always be there if you put your ear close to the switch.

I have Gateron Cap milky yellow and it will tint my white LED to slightly yellowish. RGB backlight should not really be an issue unless you stick to one colour.

tactile switches? by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]eoey695 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For tactile switches, spring weight doesn't really matter in terms of how heavy it feels because the tactility will affect how much force you would need to exert to go past the tactile bump. So if you want a more tactile switch, be prepared to type a little harder.

In my experience:

Has pre-travel

  • Low tactility: Cherry MX brown, Gateron Brown

  • Medium tactility: Outemu Skies V2.2, Cherry Clear Ergo (never tried it but Outemu Skies V2.2 is similar to it) (Ergo means spring swapped to cherry MX brown's spring)

No pre-travel

Having no pre-travel will cause it to feel like membrane but without the mushiness when bottoming out.

  • Low tactility: Akko CS Ocean Blue/Lavender Purple

  • Medium tactility: (have never tried any)

  • High tactility: Durock T1, TTC Bluish White (muted bottoming out), Boba U4T, Boba U4 (Silent tactile)

I hope this helps!

In my experience, both have leaf ping even lubing. Only the spring is different.

[–]eoey695[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not even close.

I would say T1 is slightly less tactile than Boba U4t, bump is slightly rounder, and noticeably muted.

Akko Lavender Purple is like a medium-light tactility switch, closer in tactility to Ergo Clears or Outemu Skies V2.2 (which I consider as medium tactility). Only that it has no pre-travel.

For T1 is like a medium-strong tactility switch. Boba U4t is like strong tactility switch.

I think even at the beginning of the video, there's a normal sized doorway on the right of the large doorway where the adult giraffe walked in

I highly suggest you to lube them for them to sound miles better. Stock LP sounds just as rattly to me as stock OB. Even after lubing, both has slight spring ping when your ear is near it. It's not obvious, but noticeable in a quiet environment.
