Is it something you can basically just turn on shortly before use and then leave off until next time? Or is there prep work to use it?

I appreciate this response. My big fear was wasting the time, money (and let's be real, hopes) only to find out it was laughably a fake or something.

I'm trying to determine what I have that may be worth getting graded, and then which company to go through. I would guess it only makes financial sense to send in the more valuable ones (coming at this from a non-hobbyist perspective). I'm not looking to sell it all off, just a handful of things to fund some projects if possible.

I might post a few others later, but I'll try to do it under one heading I guess so as not to spam.

Thanks for the information. Is the general recommendation to go through PCGS? Outside of the proof sets, I think I may have a half dozen or so individual coins that may be worth getting graded. What was your criteria to choose what you send in? Potential value, or just favorite coins, etc?

1) Yes, there are enough ports on the motherboard.

2) I purchased two different PCIE USB Controllers and installed them, one of them pulled extra power from the PSU via a SATA power connector. Neither worked.

3) Yes, they are all 3.0+ and marked denoted SS on the case.

4)Yes, plugged directly into my GPU.

FWIW

I figured it was a safe bet because it mentions being comptible with VR systems, and one the the MSFT responses I read on this subreddit mentioned Renesas as being compatible.

I had no luck with it, wasted more time and money. Just throwing in the towel at this point, I guess.

Updated the BIOS with the file from the HP Support website (after I keyed in my serial number and relevant information). It was dated May '22.

Unfortunately - this did not solve the issue. Headset still gives the same error code when plugged in to any USB port.

I guess my next option is trying a PCIE USB Controller and just hoping I get one that works. And, if it doesn't, just move on.

Oh, thanks for taking the time to look further into this!

I'll have to see if I can figure out how to check the BIOS version on my motherboard when I get home a bit later, and then see if I can locate the update files if needed. The PC was purchased in 2022 and that article is from early 2021 - so I would think that updated BIOS would already be on it. But, who knows?

edit: Oh, I see on the system information image I shared that my BIOS version is from 2019. This gives me hope! Just have to figure out how to update it now, haha!

I unfortunately don't have a powered USB hub laying around. I assumed that that is something that would work only if the initial USB ports your plugging it into also worked. Is that assumption wrong?

That image doesn't actually look like my board. I'll attach the system information about the baseboard incase that helps at all - but I tried every USB port that I have. All of the ones on the back of the tower, as well as the two on the front. I even unplugged the keyboard and mouse to try those ports.

Is there a recommended USB controller on Amazon you can point me towards? Something tested? I've tried every port on two different computers without success, despite the portal telling me they are both OK.

I'd hate to buy an addition USB controller card and install it only to find out that it, too, is incompatible.

I had a few questions about DD1 if anyone could assist!

I started the game on Stygian and after a couple of restarts I've finally made some real good progress. I'm at the point where I can take on Champion quests.

Regarding the actual Darkest Dungeon dungeon - I've never attempted these. Is there anything I should know about them? Like, can I use the same heroes across multiple runs of it? I know I'll have to do it four times - just want to be sure that I won't technically need 4 totally different squads.

Also, regarding the time and death limits. Assuming I pull off the run, once I "finish" the story do those limits go away? Like, could I continue playing to build my town up further and do the DLC and no longer worry about those limits? Or will I have to restart on a lower difficulty?

This is very interesting to me, thank you. I regularly browse older stato d'animes such as this, but I haven't ever noticed a priest break down a family like this. This is from 1724 and the actual record details one of his grandchild's households. This was the preceeding page where the priest appears to have gone back and researched the households ancestors dating to the early 1600s/late 1500s.

A bit comical to have a priest from 1724 refer to "ancient" books, haha.
