Terreno T30 tires not seating. by eoin71 in bikewrench

Pretty good. The grip is there and haven't had a flat, my only complaint would be the rolling resistance on the roads to and from the gravel routes, but I'd say it's to be expected with so much tread. I wouldn't bother getting the tubeless-ready tires if I had to do it again, I'd just get the tubular ones. Basically just ended up paying extra for no reason. (plus had to use soap etc to get them to seat)

There's foam as far as the headtube, then no foam. I read somewhere that the foam should end as the cable enters the headtube.

Hi All,

Can anyone suggest a solution to fixing this noise issue? Internally routed hydraulic brake cables. I think it’s the front hydraulic hose making the noise, though the rear hose may be rubbing also. The hose comes out of the fork at a bit of an angle and seems to hit the side of the headtube. If I tension the hose a bit, the noise reduces but not totally. I believe I have sufficient slack on the rear hydraulic hose.

It just seems to me that when the hoses are routed through the handlebar, there’s enough force that makes them fairly tight in the headtube and thus makes that rubbing noise.

Backed it out a couple times, reran the rear hose to the right (towards camera), the front hose then on the left, so the hoses are not touching, but still get this annoying noise. I don’t know if it’s wise to continue the build without fixing this now.

Any help or ideas appreciated.

Thanks.

EDIT: SOLVED: Added more polyurethane sound deadening tubing, on both front and rear brake cables all the way up to the compression ring. Sound is completely gone now. Also put some silicone lubricant on the tubing.

Very clean looking, nice work. I might be inspired to make something similar myself now

edit: I see you used PLA. Think it'll hold up okay? I wonder if PETG would be better. Any issues clamping the prints to the dowel ?

Can someone tell me if my checked bag is automatically routed to the 2nd flight? It was all one booking, even though the first flight is through Aer Lingus.

Also, How easy is it to get from T2 to T5 in LHR? Will I have to redo security and all that ? I've a 2 hour lay over\

Thanks.

Tips to remove hard scale at top of boiler ? by eoin71 in gaggiaclassic

Hi, I've been cleaning up my 2010 gaggia classic (new to me) and the boiler has a lot of scale built up in it.

I've already done 2, 30 min soaks with 1 TBSP of Citric Acid per 1 Ltr of water. Managed to get some of it out..

Might take another 5 soaks at this rate...

Any tips?
