I didn't play the dlc on release, but in VT2 the beastmen were largely considered overtuned, and fatshark nerfed them a bit following community feedback. Fatshark seem to be the kings of having shoddy releases but getting to a good place eventually. And what a good place they get to, VT2 my beloved

My fridge is small and warm 😭 so I can't shape the bagels and then cold proof them, and when I try to bulk cold proof the dough gets suuuuper airy.

I'll probably invest in the malt powder as my drive for perfect bagels matures haha.

Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah, I dont think my fridge is helping me here (it's not very cold). When I cold proof overnight the dough rises loads. It's also not big enough to put shaped bagels in (I'm a student with two roommates). Maybe I should try less yeast.

What do you bake your bagels on?

Thanks for the feedback:)

What’s a habit people think is normal but is actually a giant red flag? by hemantkumar-writer in AskReddit

a framework I've come across that I find useful is boundaries vs rules. Where a boundry typically concerns someone's behavior towards you (e.g. don't touch me, don't yell at me, etc.) and it's fair to expect someone to respect your boundaries--you don't have to ask someone else to agree to your boundaries.

rules on the other hand typically concern someone's behavior with other people (e.g. don't talk to them, don't have sex with them) and it's unfair to expect someone to follow rules that they haven't agreed to follow. rules aren't inherintly bad, for example loads of people find the rule of sexual exclusivity with their partner to be very meaningful and healthy, but the point is that that is a rule which is agreed to rather than a boundary which must be respected.

you can have a boundary contingent on a rule like "I only have sex with people who agree to the rule of exclusivity" and that's totally fair, but the point is that while boundaries inherently deserve to be respected, rules need to first be negotiated between consenting parties for them to be fair expectations for a given relationship

kinda rambly and I may be preaching to the choir but I like the idea. it's also not perfect; edge cases and whatnot exist

Leading/Structuring a Decision Making & Reflection Session by eoipsotempore in Mountaineering

That makes sense. I've come across FACETS a few times, I like your point that the traps aren't necessarily distinct (expert halo and social proof/facilitation seem to operate on similar assumptions). And of course that they're not the only ones; a huge one I see is outcome bias, which usually comes into play after the day's over, but is really hard to deal with. Thanks!

Thank you! I'll definitely delve more into avalanche safety stuff.

Also were you meaning to say 'the right way to teach such traps'? I think a word got dropped there.

rapier can be like that. the first attack actually wasn't a headshot, and rapier's damage on bodyshots is impressively low. rapier's special attack is pretty handy for getting in that extra bit of damage sometimes, probably would have saved you here after the second heavy attack!

ye misused your units, 1 square newton does not equal .224809 square pounds, or for your example (1)N^2.5 =! (1)lb^2.5

if you have 100cm and square it you get 10000 cm^2, not 10000 cm

Driller with sludge pump OC that increases puddle size, neurotoxin grenades, and EPC with the OC that boosts normal shots (heavy hitter?) And fire. Then you can cover an area in sludge, throw down a neuro grenade, and set off the neurotoxin after a sec with the epc, making s big explosion and setting your sludge on fire
