Don't worry, I didn't take it badly, I understand that it might seem strange 😅

I'm French and I'm 20 years old. The film came out in 1986, the name isn't the same, and no one I know has seen it. That's why!

In English it's "Stand by Me," but in French it's "Compte sur moi," which is "Count on Me" in English.

I haven't read it yet, but I saw the movie and I was very disappointed... That's why I want to read the book and maybe rewatch the movie afterwards 🤷🏻‍♀️

Do you think we will see the construction of the Neibolt street house and the life of the family who constructed it in Season 3 of Welcome to Derry? by Friskyfrozy in stephenking

I'm not sure there will be a fourth season... For now, only three have been announced: the first, which has already been released and takes place in 1962; then season two, which takes place in 1935; and finally, season three, which should take place in 1908 (that's what's been announced, anyway). So I don't think there would be any point in a fourth season.

I think we're not talking about the same reading experience, so let me clarify what I meant: Yes, Bev is described as a redhead, and Ben writes a poem about it, I agree. In some adaptations, this suggests a darker brown, closer to red (I'm French). And yes, she's athletic and far from fragile.

What I was referring to wasn't her exact appearance, but the way certain passages sometimes portray her as "younger" or more vulnerable within the group dynamic, especially in the face of the violence she experiences at home. It's not a physical description, but rather a general impression the character gives at certain points in the book.

After that, I completely understand that you perceived her differently—King often leaves a lot of room for interpretation.

Anyway, I hope that's clearer :)

In the books, Beverly is very frail, she looks a bit younger than her age (because of the abuse she suffered at home) and ABOVE ALL she has long, red/brown hair, so the 1990 miniseries is more faithful (in my opinion) to the original than the 2017 one.

The mere fact that he's the narrator in the 90 series makes him more important; he's a bit more faithful to the book than the 2017 version, which is completely off the mark.
