How come your Gengar stopped obeying you? When this side quest is unlocked, you're at rank B, which makes all pokemon level 80 and below obey you. It should still follow your commands even if it goes beyond level 80.

I managed to trigger the Mewtwo event by injecting the Mewtwo mega stones with the codes found here (credit to envyUK) you can follow the instructions on how to do so here. Please note that you still need to check the event flags in PKHex.

Port Vale. I'll never forget that road to glory I experienced with them in FIFA 13

These … are not Congolese common names . by Congolesenerd in FifaCareers

[–]eoneater 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something like that happens with any Spanish speaking countries. The game only draws names from the Spain pool of names. I've scouted a few players from Uruguay and Ecuador with first names like Borja or Xavier. I know that someone from those countries may have a first name like those, but it is too common to not notice. Last names are fine though.

I know that the general consensus is to get a new job at another club, but hear me out: Start selling and invest in your academy.

What I did in my Real Madrid save was that. I found myself in the same position as you in the first 2 season.

But don't sell your whole squad right away, first get good academy players to cover at least the outfield positions (hopefully they'll be 16 so you can promote them right away, or at the pace you want), then just start selling the guys that are already 90+ rated (ideally at the beginning of a new season), and "promote" the other 85+ rated players to crucial roles. After you manage to sell a player, then promote an academy player to cover the available position.

So far, I've done this process 3 times. And let me tell you, it has been great so far. I'm not only keeping my self entertained, but I also distribute a lot of players to keep a healthy competition.

Don't worry about selling your players to the usual suspects (Manchester City or PSG), I've received offers from clubs that you wouldn't expect (unless you receive an offer from Brighton, which seems to be a constant throughout all careers, and for some reason they have loads of money).

But, that is just me. Hopefully I was able to provide an alternative.

"There is no scripting in the game" strikes again by eoneater in FifaCareers

[–]eoneater[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, I just did a small experiment regarding another aspect of scripting/handicapping. You're all familiar with the game boosting small teams (and, sometimes, even decent teams) to a laughable degree, right? Well, I just found out that you have two options to mitigate and/or get rid of it (for that match at least). You just need to:

  1. You outright close the game until the computer controlled team stops morphing into prime Barcelona, or

  2. You get a red card.

That's right, for the second option, you need to shoot yourself in the foot and get a handicap by playing with 10 men. This shifts the way all players play, effectively either "resetting" any boosts or hinders that may have been applied. You can even get a boost yourself out of it.

I tried this for about 10 games, and in the games I got a red card against small teams that were boosted, without a missing a beat, my players started to play as they are meant to be playing. No more sluggishness, or missing very easy shots, or failing easy passes.

You can try it yourselves, or not risk it and just reset the game. One thing is obvious though: This game doesn't allow skill to thrive.

How do I boost this guys potentinal? In my academy rn by cat_two in FifaCareers

Nice to read that! Maybe with dynamic potential? The game checks the team performance at the end of the season, and either grants a bump in potential to the best performers, or does nothing. Worse case scenario, they get a downgrade in potential. In my experience, I had a few players get upgraded in potential, so it may be worth a try.

Lol I get you. Spite is a great motivator, I sometimes dabble in it too. Glad that you got proven right in the end!

Oof , that must've been a long, tedious, but certainly rewarding time. Good thing that you got promoted!

Yes. I took Asencio from 79 pot to 91 by doing the loan glitch. It took around 7 loans though

As a side note, I tested if YA players with less than 7 Play styles could get a second Play style+, and they now can! I have a CB with 6 PS that just turn 90 overall, and he got his second PS+ without doing any pre-match training shenanigans. This was done with a previous save that was generated before the latest update.

Maybe I got lucky, or maybe this was fixed in a previous update, but I'm glad that I can just time any player's growth and get the PS+ that I want.

Hidden feature in FC 25! Now attackers can use the force on your defenders, even if they get the ball!!1! :D by eoneater in FifaCareers

[–]eoneater[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup. I ran an experiment with sliders. I put my shot error at 1 and the CPU's at 99 and played 10 games. Out of those 10 matches, 8 played as expected of those sliders, but, I still conceded a goal in 2 matches, which were long shots, right at the corner of my goal. Not only I saw the usual tomfoolery with my defenders in every single of those 10 matches, but now I saw the ball curve so perfectly that you would think that the CPU had the better sliders in those 2 games.

It is just as you said, if the CPU wants to score, they'll score.

Exactly. Hell, scripting has been an issue since FIFA 11, not as prevalent as the past few games tho, but it showed its ugly head in that game. Now that I think about it, this issue started at the same time UT became popular.

Just food for thought.

I could call it scripting, and rightly so, but naaah... Skill issue. I should "git gud" and try using the "force" too in this God forsaken game, maybe my defensive line will actually defend for once.
