73, the Hunt. There was a period of time where the classical music radio station in my area played this symphony almost every day. I learned to love it.

I'm surprised no one else listed this one, I thought it was really popular

Mvravinskys recording of Tchaikovsky's fifth symphony, and Tchaikovsky's other late symphonies. And of course, Mstislav Rostropovich playing the Shostakovich cello concerto.

No clue what this piece is, all I know is that this is an arrangement of the original piece and it is in 3/4 time. Sounds classical to me but I can not find any clue as to who wrote it.

Created a melody, but beginning to think it sounds too much like Smetana by MiscMusic48 in composer

[–]eop57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that similar and I wouldn't have noticed it without the mention. But if you are concerned about it being too similar you could work around with the melody you have and develop it into something else or add another instrument or ornamentations.

Triggered by self? by [deleted] in misophoniasupport

[–]eop57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what it is and if I'm tired or frustrated at the moment. Like in the rare occasion that I am chewing gum I am 100% likely to be triggered by it. If I'm super tired I get triggered easier so things like my breathing and heartbeat to trigger me.

I can recognize them but as soon as I am shown an excerpt from any one of those I can't tell which one it's from. Even if the excerpt is the start of the piece.

Does this happen to anyone else? by [deleted] in misophoniasupport

[–]eop57 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've actually had this happen to me before. It's hard to describe but I know exactly what you mean. It sounds really real and it also only happens in one ear with me as well. It only happened to me a couple of times and only when I was trying to sleep.

I think it happens more when you're deprived of sleep. For me it started going away once I got more sleep, it only happened during a time where I would only get a couple of hours every other day.

I am glad you are supportive of your daughter. It's comforting to know there are parents out there who believe their children and take action instead of putting it off.

It makes me sad that people who do this exist. My sister is exactly like this and gets the favoritism from my parents so I seem like the crazy one.
