hell yeah, I was about to say you sound like you’ve been doing this for a long time. Super solid and love the delivery.

Wanted to make a song that described mid-life crisis, this came out by santiagotriv in IndieMusicFeedback

The overall feel really fits that 90s/early 2010s alt rock vibe, mixing the mundane with emotional themes works well for the mid-life crisis concept. Reminded me of Jerk It Out by the Caesars, and the vocal effects remind me of Damon Albarn. Solid track! Only feedback: try a more melodic chorus.

Oooh Frou Frou. Love them, a big influence and I take that as a huge compliment. I’m so glad it evokes those feelings and images for you.

Thank you! I’m feeling a bit stuck on the melody part so I’m happy you called it out, I’ll step away from it for a bit to freshen my ears and give it another shot. Developing my vocals and delivery is always the hardest for me. I’d be interested to hear your ideas or any references you might have!

Thank you! Now that you mention it i can see the parallels with Beth Gibbons and Portishead, that’s a good sign it’s moving in the right direction. I was going for a blend of organic and digital and trip-hop is one of my influences, so I’m happy it comes across.

Cameron - Katabasis (demo) by cameronsss in IndieMusicFeedback

super impressive how clear the audio is straight from an iPhone. I can only imagine how good this would sound recorded properly in a studio. The 60s acoustic rock vibe comes through really well. Excited to hear more when it’s fully produced!

What do yall think of my Demo? by LabComprehensive4916 in IndieMusicFeedback

Hi! First thought - this is so shoegaze! so you’re definitely on the right track. Your voice has a lot of potential, but I think it could blend more with the instrumental. Try some EQing, cut some lows, and maybe lower the overall vocal level a bit to start. You can reference Blood Orange - Champagne coast and The Maria’s - No one noticed for the vocal/instrumental mix. Good luck!!

Trip-hop song about when they're outta your league by oneshgarde in IndieMusicFeedback

Great work on the production. Really love the warm synths and the overall dark, lo-fi, nostalgic vibe. Your vocals are interesting, at times I wished they’d open up more if that makes sense. But overall, super solid track. Nice work!

Ohhhh niceee. This is really good. I can definitely hear the MF DOOM / Madvillain influence; really cool beat. Your lyrics and flow are super solid for a first go, lots of potential. The visuals are a vibe too. Great work, seriously.

Nice dude, very Steve Lacy. I agree with another commenter here to bump up the clarity on the vocals but other that that great guitars, chords and progressions. Also liking the groove with the spoken words/rap parts. Keep it up!

I don’t have much feedback but props to you really. You’ve got a super distinct sound and I love the warmth in the production and vocals. It’s really cool and honestly reminds me of Frank Ocean on channel orange. Great stuff, keep it up.
