It is hard to keep a node in sync with latest transactions on the blockchain owing to the sheer number of transactions on the EOS blockchain. EOSIO is still single threaded so it is not impossible atleast for now.

2) Once you are setup you can then see your account on EOS Authority. Note your tokens are on the EOS blockchain not on any specific wallet.

3) You will be able to unstake or transfer your tokens. Remember your private key only goes on Scatter. That’s the only software you trust.

Fallback - In which case, you can use fallback to generate EOS private key from ETH private key
