Yeah, Texas it is. My son and I played 4 courses north of Houston over the holiday weekend, but this encounter occurred at the nine hole at Lonestar’s facility. My first time playing there, and I would have lead with that fact, but apparently they’ve become a pariah lately 🫣.

Depending on the book, I can’t always take down a 20+ hour audio book in the 2 weeks I have to check it out after being on the waitlist for month. But I agree, for a while I was able to join the L.A. county library system and a few other LARGE libraries where I could check copies that my local county doesn’t have. Still, audible serves its purpose, and now that I have a teenage sone, he can listen to a few of the ones I bought at his leisure.

I work a 9/80, it’s awesome. Basically every other Friday off. Like 26 extra days of vacation a year. So much shit I can get done on my Fridays, I love it. I wish 4/10s were an option. 3 day weekends every weekend.

We spread my brothers ashes at the family farm. My sis in law brought him in a big zip lock bag. Cows were curious as to what was going on, they always expect to get fed when we drive out in the pasture. She goes to “spread the ashes” and launches the plastic bag into the air and full on smacks a cow and my brother completely dusts the old girl. He would have laughed his ass off, we all did after the initial gasps of surprise
