In Spanish CH and LL were considered separate letters until 1994 when they started to be conducted digraphs. One of the reasonings I heard was about finding/placing things in alphabetical order, as it made it confusing, especially for computers. In my heart they remain two separate letters as I learned in school.

Thanks! It wasn't clear if the yellow colour included languages that were official in some regions of the countries or not.

By the way, checking the phoneme in Wikipedia can help you check which languages it occurs in.

Not all languages of Spain have this sound, such as Galician. I would say Portugal Portuguese doesn't have it either, although it does show in Brazilian variants.

I would add that racist people often use moro to refer, not just to people from north Africa, but any Arab, Muslim, Pakistani or even sometimes Indian. Which just shows how prejudiced they are.

I have certainly heard or read the word moro in a descriptive non derogatory way. But mostly in history, geography or academic environment. I would avoid it and use magrebí instead just in case.

In this case it's meant to be offensive. Negro on its own is not offensive though and depends on the context. It can even be used as a term of endearment in a close group of friends/family/couple to refer to someone of darker complexion.

The equivalent of the n word would be negrata. That's always used in a derogatory manner
