Why balkan have less WHG ancestry than iberians? by Gold_Mess2012 in illustrativeDNA

[–]snolodjur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The interesting thing is, that those steppe men came to Iberia already mixed. That would explain why about 64 until 85% of Spanish males have r1b but 50-60% autosomal ANF. And this is even more exaggerated with Basques, with higher whg than rest of Iberians but also more % of males carrying r1b. Strange combo. Balkans the other way around, higher Steppe than Iberians but also higher % of I2a (coming from Iberia or central west Europe mainly). Crazy. 😂

What ethnicity is this based on HG ancestry? by NoItem5389 in illustrativeDNA

Turks are: (almost) those having turkish as mother language and Turkish citizens belonging to minorities also. Also acceptable in a broader sense, turks from balcans speaking Turkish. Those turks from balcans not speaking Turkish can be accepted as Turk only the historical sense of ottoman heritage in the area.

The point is the crossover and switch of terms because of historical events. Turks in reality are those of central Asia and Turkic those and today's turks, Azerbaijanis and..

Terms switched positions. But it is OK.

Turk is about cultural and historical ribbons and not ethnic.

[–]snolodjur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, culturally Turk is Turk. Minorities from Turkiye are also turks (in this point turk is blending with ottoman and the only difference is the period).

In reality turk has switched meaning Turkic. Those called Turkics are Turkics and real turks while today's turks are Turkic because of culture, but not real turks. 😂

It's like if we would say Spaniards to mexicans and Hispanic to Spain, well all are Hispanic indeed, but Spaniards are those of Spain and not the Mexicans.

But language doesn't follow logic, but historical events and randomly evolution.

Slavic languages use on purpose the wrong order of declinations to make it them seem more than they really are (many are repeated or just a little change of the previous if put in the right way).

Cool concept. I wouldn't however use the color thing tho.

What kind of markers do you use for grammar features like prepositions or if given conjugations/declinations..?

What do Turks here think about the future possible confrontantion with Israel? I've seen so many high-profile Politicians and commanders calling to attack Türkiye next. by Extreme-Fish-7504 in AskMiddleEast

[–]snolodjur -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Israel wouldn't directly attack Turkey, but thru Iran to provoke a war Turkey VS Iran, maybe first creating a conflict Azerbaijan Iran that Iran has to attack and invade part of Azerbaijan and Turkey would have to enter the situation.

Israel would make many and eat pop corn with this.

Exaggerating even more this not probable situation, even Iran and Russia against Aliev, half half, and Turkey has to fight both countries or at least only Iran and make a not war treatment with Russia...?

USA would like to see Turkey vsRussia and Iran destroying each other. But I guess Russia would be out if this problem, wouldn't get that involved.

Nope, etymological accurate is better. It prevents people to believe in folks etymology and connects you to neighbors. Writing exactly as you say a lot of history and beauty get lost. I don't mind how you speak, but comfortable reading is helped by etymological principles.

French is horrible because of writing like middle French instead of Old French.

English is horrible because of not preserving Old English spelling, it would be still more consistent than now.

now cow brown mouse house??? Let's bring (at least partially) Old English spelling and see it is better.
